Am I breaking any rules with zero posts and having what he needs?

He asked for pictures with my name and date on it and gave me an ultimatum even when I clearly told him I was not with it at the moment.

So much hostility for a new member. And in this year and time, how can anyone scam you when you have secure mean to make payment like PayPal goods. Maybe you are not just smart.

Why asking for my location when we haven't even discussed prices or shipping? Not sending pictures? "You're not just smart"?? What does that even means?
Where are the pictures of the warmers, with your name and date in the picture like I asked? You responded to my ad in a couple of hours but haven't been able to produce anything I asked for, in almost 2 days. You only wrote that you "could not send them yesterday", after I demanded your name and date in the picture. Never wrote you were "not in".

Prove me wrong, post them in the classified section!!.

He's gotta point here. To OP, as long as you select the "Goods & Services" option on PayPal, you will be protected, financially. PayPal will reimburse you if: item is lost, item is damaged (not as advertised), item is not what was described, etc. What I do when purchasing from other sellers, is I print to PDF their FS thread along with the HTML web address. So, if ever comes a point where the seller is lying, then I can reference their ad--even when they've deleted it to try and get away with the scam. PayPal will then go after them to collect money.

I purchased two items in the past year from the Ducati forums in UK. In both situations the parts were lost due to "COVID." One of the sellers almost didn't care and it was easy to get my money back from PayPal. However, the other seller was uncommunicative, and it took 4 weeks to get a conclusion. I had contacted FedEx so many times to see what happened to the package. Yet, they weren't giving me all the information because ONLY the seller can file a dispute/claim with carrier services. So, when I finally got the claim # from FedEx that the package was declared "lost," I provided the email and number to PayPal and my money was reimbursed. Seller was also able to recover his money through the carrier. Win, win situation.

However, if I was this guy offering you (OP) the tire warmers, AND the offer is legitimate; then, I'd definitely avoid you at ALL costs. I would never deal with a potential buyer that is so paranoid because of the possibility that you'll make my life a nightmare for going out of my way to sell you an item you were looking for. I've had this experience in the past, and promised myself to never, ever deal with people like that again. I'd rather wait additional weeks or even months until I get another interested buyer that just wants the item.
