I'm thinking it has to do with the actual mechanism itself rather than grips idk though id have to see it to verify.

Still having issues on my end however with the dqs and zero help from the dealership

That’s horrible that your dealership won’t do whatever it takes to fix your bike’s issue

Ya im having quick-witted failures under 3/4 turn accels. Ive been calling for weeks to get in to fix it then always say they will call me back. Never return one. Today they told me they have no information in their systems about my issue so nothing was ordered. Again, told they would call back after speaking with the mechanics and scheduler.

Bout had it with them.

Idk I have to install it on my 1299. Should be an upgrade but we’ll see. Other guys swear by this and Cordona. If it is an upgrade my V4 will be getting one too bc I’m a spaz on the shifter

I don’t remember how much it cost. I ordered it right before lockdown and then I bugged out to my other home for a while. I placed the order w @cycler

I am very excited to install this piece but I’m waiting on the components to flip the 1299 to Gp shift cause there’s nothing else like it. Idk if ur V2 can just move 1 bolt like my V4 but the 1299 needs a kit to convert to gp with factory rearsets

Unfortunately it sounds like you need to take it to a different dealership and complain to Ducati North America regarding the lack of customer service from your local dealership. Make them back up the supposed warranty the bike comes with

Hmm doubt its got a kit yet. Maybe in a few months. Im going to try one more time with the dealership before I contact Ducati.

Ducati ended up stepping in before with them not giving me paperwork i needed for setting up registration and my account. We shall see

I believe they are the only Ducati lender/certified mechanics in the Carson, Reno area

My V4 was a .... show locking me in gears. It’s bad when there’s a cop approaching and I can’t downshift downshift and disappear..
Dealer reset and calibrated DQS and it has been flawless (as it should) ever since.
I recommend reset and test it. It took them resetting it once at 621 miles and it didn’t work but at 1,900 miles it cured the problems... but if it failed while on the bench they would replace hardware.
My 1299 is out of warranty, naturally.. so it’s getting the HM

One for each Duc. Still trying to wrap my head around how ProGrips caused that guys throttle problem

I’m still trying to understand it myself. Pro grips said they could’ve been defective

Pre pro grips- no throttle response issues with spacers

Pro grips on - the bike was lagging, felt like it took a firmer pull on the throttle to get her going.(spacers still on)

Post pro grips - felt normal

May benchmark for identifying the issue
  • Stock grips- cruising speed on the highway at 80 mph 5k on the revs 6th gear
  • Pro grips cruising speed at 80 mph over 5k in 6th gear, I had to give it more to keep the bike at 80
Really hard to explain but you know how you can take your fingers off the throttle and keep it engaged with just your palm? Stock grips with the benchmark above it held at 5k on the revs all day long. The throttle would not hold with pro grips amd my revs and speed would drop.

Hope this gives everyone a better understanding.

If it’s 2 layers of material the outer could be sliding around the inner. I don’t see how it could be anything else. Buy another set of progrips and try it again. At least it’s not like every other Ducati accessory that helps to empty the bank account

Def agree, I have a new set on the way and will see what happens.
