I’m still trying to understand it myself. Pro grips said they could’ve been defective

Pre pro grips- no throttle response issues with spacers

Pro grips on - the bike was lagging, felt like it took a firmer pull on the throttle to get her going.(spacers still on)

Post pro grips - felt normal

May benchmark for identifying the issue
  • Stock grips- cruising speed on the highway at 80 mph 5k on the revs 6th gear
  • Pro grips cruising speed at 80 mph over 5k in 6th gear, I had to give it more to keep the bike at 80
Really hard to explain but you know how you can take your fingers off the throttle and keep it engaged with just your palm? Stock grips with the benchmark above it held at 5k on the revs all day long. The throttle would not hold with pro grips amd my revs and speed would drop.

Hope this gives everyone a better understanding.
Seems like your grip is slipping???

Pretty annoyed about the lack of after market parts for the V2, maybe COVID related? I haven't found much out there especially for crash protection.

R & G - my order still hasn't arrived
Aella - can't find their V2 frame sliders anymore
Evotech - offers everything but sliders
Even worse, I ordered the actual V2 at the end of May (to Hawaii.) It finally arrived last Wednesday after sitting in LA for over 3 weeks (COVID?? Really??) Then I have to wait until this Monday for delivery to the dealer after which I can finally receive it. So I feel your pain. Very frustrating.

Just discovered this for the morning detail n ride.. pretty pissed to be honest.

I guess I'm plagued with the glue running out also.

it needs a rivet in the recess above the rear tail.

another glorious run on foothills in 4th this morning. zero traffic going at sun-up.

took out a little rebound up front but still too much preload. should have aired down a couple psi in the rear for the old section where they leave trails at the end of a load of blacktop

1700 miles.

Well ..... I recall pictures of someone with glue in theirs and the dealer re glued it. Mine has no glue that I can see. I was thinking of doing some quick release bolt conversions might also include that area

no more 2020s? the last 4 of my serial is 1044. anyone have a higher VIN?
Mine is 1225 (calendar date for Christmas) Feel like a kid on Christmas morning every time I ride it hahaha
I picked my bike/VIN out of the 4 they had in Stock at the time.

there is a sticker on the valve cover (which hasn't melted off yet), and the tank is numerically date stamped the same.

curious what the final numbers will be for the model year as I have a fetish for odd things.
