Hi. Are other Ducati models' throttle housing / ride-by-wire throttle tubes "plug and play compatible" with the V2? I ask this somewhat rhetorically, as I bought a new race bike that I'm almost certain has a much shorter throttle throw than my other V2. It is for sure OEM, so I'm concluding that it must be some other model's unit that just plugs right in.

As I'm sure people have noticed, the V2 throttle throw is very long. It seems that someone used another bike's housing to make it shorter. Smart. Wondering which bike(s) it could have come from.

Pretty sure the one from the multistrada v4 is a shorter throw but need to swap plug, that's what the factory Ducati uses here in Australia

Who built the new bike? I am asking because it could be a corse throttle, I had one on my 959 the looked exactly the same as oem
A pretty solid shop in Florida. I can ask them.

I looked it up, and asked chat GPT, and don't see a Ducati Corse TBW throttle. Do you have a link?

Corse parts generally dont come up on searches but this part number is listed - I believe it was STK throttle from a xx99 EU race bike
HSBK V2 MA spec sheet lists JetPrime throttle

Thanks for that.

And... I just looked it up, and the Multi V4's part number is: 66020121B, which it is indeed a different part than the V2s (66020102B), and looks like the same connection. So that may be a winner.

Also, I was messing with my Hyper 950 SP, and it seems to be a shorter throw. I'm going to measure it today. I just looked it up, and it's part number is: 66020141A, and the connection is the same. So that may work also. I wonder which is shorter, that or the Multi V4?

If the factory Ducati is using the Mutli V4, maybe that's the way to go. Perhaps I can go to a Ducati dealership today and measure the throw...

Either way, I'd have to calibrate it in the Mecal software for the Mectroniks ECU, but that seems pretty easy. It's not like the OEM electronics, where I think calibrating for something like this is very difficult.

Why dont you just buy the 23/24 V4R // 25 V4 throttle swap the connection?
That part is $220 - most affordable Ducati part of all time
When I looked the V4 part number was the same as the V4. You're saying that maybe the V4R is different? I can have a look. Thanks for that.

I'm finding used Multi V4 housings, and used Hyp 950 SP housings, for pretty reasonable on Ebay.
