I know this has been brought up before but I thought I would ask the experts here again! Running stock brake MC and have tried many different pads.
Right now having to use too much level pressure to get the desired brake retardation. Looking for something with less level travel to get required braking.
Pretty sure RCS17 is the right size for the Stylema brakes. Don't want super hard lever action. Like the travel of the stock MC but requires too much pull for me.
Let me know what you guys are running, I know there a few different options. Yes, no lattes in this question, sorry!!!

phew........ I thought it was going to be Latte less...

RCS 17 is the right bore size for std ABS and callipers, get an adjustable ratio one 18/20 and you can have what feel and throw you like...I use SBS track pads great initial bite and strong feel but dot last long although that's not a consideration....

ABS has nothing to do with the equation… the rest of what you said is fine.

Now let’s have some latte’s.

Abs has everything to do with the whole equation in it recognising and modulating a given amount of fluid…but thanks for your clearance of the the information…🙄

Watching this thread and cruising some others, it’s about the only thing I’d change at the moment. I like a less firm initial bite, and currently it’s still a little grabby. I have to really be focusing on the release to be smooth.

I have been using Vesrah SRJL-XX for a couple of seasons now (track only). They have a good initial bite but not super aggressive, then breaking force ramps up quickly

I like them

I use them on my Gixxer with a 17 RCS MC and like them a lot, not too aggressive on initial bite but ramp up for big stopping power.

The ABS doesn’t rely on feedback from the lever or MC it does recognize incoming fluid pressure regardless of piston size. Caliper piston size is more likely part of the equation though.

@Jolly Roger V4 i haven’t tried the regular RCS but what’s nice about the corsa corta version is that aside from the 18/20 leverage ratio adjustments it has a race, sport and normal setting that adjusts sensitivity. I’m not sure where the normal RCS stands in relation to those settings.

I’ve found that these settings have a nice degree of variation between them in the way they feel.

I highly recommend them.

Also the new corsa corta RR is sexy af!

Slightly off topic and quite possibly a very noob question but does anyone know what the nipple beside the fluid reservoir inlet is used for?

Is it an option to mount the pressure line as seen on Pecco’s bike or am I seeing it wrong?

Bleed nipple.
I see a banjo fitting on Pecco’s bike
I know it has a different MC but I’m guessing the configuration is more or less the same. Do you think the bleed nipple and pressure line can be swapped?

I have the 17rcs Corsa Corta with the remote adjuster running to the other handlebar, and GP4-MS calipers, between the adjuster on the MC and the remote adjuster you get a lot of adjustment range, that’s probably the best way to go Jolly…the Corsa Corta let’s you adjust brake pressure while the remote adjuster let’s you adjust lever throw to get the right balance between lever movement and tension.

Have you tried playing with the R, S, N knob?

I like how it feels in R with stock calipers, very responsive. I imagine that the S and N settings will probably be favorable in less grippy condition i.e. rain, tire wear etc…

An added benefit of the corsa corta.

Yeah I run it on the R setting and then give a little more lever movement with the remote adjuster. It’s all subjective to the rider, hand size, personal feel choices, brake pad compound etc…I like a progressive initial bite that ramps up power fast, with just enough movement that I can modulate trail braking with my fingertips. The system allows for a lot of adjustment.

It does indeed! 👍

Really? ,,,,,,,you are coming out with claims about the operation of ABS ,..... yet asked this?
