I don’t ride if it’s below 50 or 60 F. After looking at Ducati’s recommended oil temp chart, I doubt there’d be any difference between 15W and 20W-50.

lol, The coldest I've rode in for a short time is 18 F, and the coldest sustained around 30 F.
I ride down to about 35. Heated grips, extra layers (I carry 5 uppers layers and 3 lower layers plus suit), tolerable for quite a while. Guess riding in the rain is out of the question for some let alone the snow.

As a new owner of a 2024 Streetfighter V4, what are the issues of people switching to redline as opposed to staying with the Ducati 100% Synthetic 20-50 ,??

With time, I’ll do that 👍
Great to hear , there is alot of information to obtain but it beats having a damaged engine overtime .

Anyways , Welcome to the forum & ride safe ! Im not to far from you here in NYC , our nice days are upon us! Today being 50'F was nice , just so much salt on the roads from the snow i refuse to ride until its cleared.

I’m in Bergen County, and do most of my riding, hanging out, and “Posing” of course, up in Bear mountain, 7-Lakes Drive, Perkins Drive.
And yes, the warm weather can’t come soon enough, very frustrating when you have a new V4 with only 10 miles on it🤷🏻‍♂️🥶

I head up to bear mountain all the time. There's a decent car show over there on Sundays too.

Some footage towards the end is from Bear & 7 lakes. Great area to zip around.

Does anyone know if the 20w50 is actually part of the powersports line up for redline? It says motorcycle underneath the label instead of powersports (like the 15w50) so I wasn’t sure if that changed anything for them.

If its the powersports line , they all have the same additive package. Just different weights of the oil. It probably says motorcycle because Harley Davidson uses that oil weight. All of their power sports line is motorcycle oil and Jaso MA , MA2 rated for wet clutches. Pretty sure the 20w50 is the same formula as the others.

my bottle of 15-50 and 20-50 look exactly the same...EXACTLY...except for the 15 vs. 20...

I’m sure it’s the same then, it falls under the powersports category, just the 15w50 bottle says powersports under it and the 20w50 says motorcycle underneath it. This is on the redline website under the powersports section.
