Wow! November! I ask my local dealer what the status on my oder, and they said its still pending as of last week. Does anyone else have that? I'm wondering if my order will go through or if it will stay pending until they ship out? Prior to ordering the system said it was available for my dealer to go ahead and order. I'm not sure what's going on with that.

Yes my dealer still shows my order as pending as well. I placed it the day they were announced as well. He said the next update they will receive as others have mentioned is when it is on the water. The last update will be in delivery which means that it is on a truck. It's just the way Ducati operates.

this is the reply of a European dealer regarding the V4 (received Jan-24):
V4 - will be available from February
V4S - will be available from March
V4 Speciale - will be available maybe from end of March , I understand there are problems with parts components suppliers.
Didn't check for updates since then.

Desmolvr, thanks for the reply back. This is my first pre-order from Ducati, I had no idea their system was like that. That eases me, knowing that all orders stay pending until they're all shipped out. I thought I had missed the deadline and they're all spoken for, haha. Can't wait 'till everyone gets "shipped" status next! Exciting!

My Speciale finally arrived in Australia. I will pick it up during the week. It's out if it's crate being predelivered now.
It looks sensational right up there with the best Ducati's.
In Australia we get the exhaust in a box with the other goodies. I was told best to fit the exhaust at the first service, so I will do that but we will be charged 10hours labour!
I ordered and paid for the gold mag wheel option, but mine has come with the black wheels. The Vin is actually different for the gold wheel models, but they will come later, they don't know when. We get to keep the black wheels.
We are having beautiful sunny winter weather here S o I am off all weekend running it in and getting to know it. Looking forward to seeing how it compares to my 1199S.
Fitting the tail tidy and getting clear film fitted this week.
Finally, that was a long wait!

Congratulations.. I'm sure it will be an awesome motorcycle. I gave up on my order and honestly I don't believe I will ever order another Ducati new. I ended up canceling my order and buy a 1299SL. Maybe one day I will get to ride the V4

I ordered mine last year also, and was initially told about May delivery.
As I posted I pick mine up this week, it is meant to be the first sipmant to Australia with the gold wheel option, (which didn’t happen) . I was told by our importer that deliveries for this year will be all the way into next year (2019) so yes production is way off schedule, and that they have many on a wait list if people drop off. Although the numbers we would be allocated would be small compared to the USA.
To be fair to the distributors this looks to be a Ducati issue and they really don’t know.

Strange that you're still waiting on yours. I know that our dealer had two on the floor that weren't spoken for and it took a while to find buyers.
If I remember right aren't you the guy who ordered two from two different dealers just to make sure that you would get one of the first ones?

I finally got my Speciale, and it was worth the wait. This really is a nice step up from my 1199S, everything is just a step up.
That engine is glorious. I put about 400 kms on my first ride and will get the Akra pipes put on it at my first 1000kms service, I have it already booked in.
I’m getting it wrapped in clear protection film this week. Already have the Evo tech tail tidy on.
For all those waiting, hang in there, it is worth the wait.
Oh, my gold wheels didn’t come with the bike, they will follow eventually. The vin number is “magnesio” so it is actually logged in as a mag wheel bike.
Mine is number 0554/1500
