measure the depth of the plate to the drum outer surface. As the plates wear this depth will get bigger…

You are looking for 5- 5.5mm as a good working clutch….

Of course if the plates are fubar get a new set you can measure their height together as new away from the bike (obviously can’t do too much with them)
Fit them then do the above measurement and you have your baseline height as new..

Did you google that? Hey what's the difference between the original Pani dry clutch and the belt drive stuff? Is both the basket and hub different? I have lots of belt drive clutch parts. So I guess my question is can I say machine a hub and/or basket and use belt drive parts. You can get a 1198 dry slipper for a third of a Pani one.
