Leftcoast32, Dude you are in Carlsbad, Im in Newport Coast. Let go ride. Im really only a .... on the board ok well thats not true but I am less of a .... in person (jeez one of you guys vouch for me will ya).

The V4R will take the same Akra exhaust as the other V4 models, only difference is the mapping that gets downloaded to the ECU. When we first got them we were told to plan for around 6 hours and after installing a couple it was clear that it's a 2-day job for one tech to complete so we charge 10 hours for the install. I wish it wasn't that, but that's reality. Everything is so tightly packaged and lots of "stuff" to disassemble to get to everything and then put it all back together.

Unless I'm mistaken all of the shots of the R already have the pipes with stock end cans? Maybe just not in titanium? so you may be able to get the full performance with slip-ons, just not the weight savings.

Just an observation.

The "R" has different primary tubes than the other models. Is it possible the only real difference between it and the full Akra is the second half of the exhaust?

anyone got any more details about the Akra race system?
Is it different to the one on the 1103cc motor?
Is the R oem downpipe same as the Ti race system but just an SS pipe?
Are the primary (downpipe tubes) different on the R?

I have the half carbon clutch cover on order but it’s not due until end of April, I’ve asked the dealer to just remove the OEM cover and I’ll ride without :)

Same here mine is supposed to be here in two to three weeks.
If you don't mind what racing switches are you putting on.
Do they plug right in?.
Where did you buy them from "Boulder Motor Sports"?

Appreciate any info.

bikesportdevelopments.co.uk Reatains everything the stock switches have.. Made for the new V4R... Directions look very simple plug and play.

200 miles done on mine yesterday and wow it feels very different to the s! It’s VERY taught and stiff, really is a proper race bike this! Amazing!
The way the bike revs with very little inertia in the motor is something else! The bark with the race kit nuts!
Will report more as I get more miles on it and can start to use it properly.

600 miles on mine now taking it steady following running in keeping it below 8k and the fuel light comes on at 83 miles! wtf! what's it going to do when I properly ring its neck!
(I used to get 60-65 miles before fuel light came on with the v4s, but that was when I thrashing it!)
Can see the RS19 bike has a larger capacity fuel tank maybe that’s what will be needed!
First service tomorrow:)
