Hello
After few trackdays i decided to complete convert the bike into track bike ONLY!
I've ordered complete plastic race kit, but after i disconnected the headlight i get error on dashboard!
Any ideas how to solve this isssue?

Regards
Martin

You should only need the plug for disconnecting the rear brake light. I've disconnected the front headlights and no errors. Note the Ducati plug kit is only the rear brake light and the kickstand switch.

Hi

Thanks a lot 4 the info!
I'm happy to read that, for the rear I think I managed to to sort it out. Monday I will post the result .

Regards,
Martin

I disconnected the rear but got no error. But this is without starting the engine.

Would be ok to have the error and still ride? I'm looking to have the bike ready for a coming trackday and would like to take out the rear light.

I have the headlight and taillight disconnected with no errors.
I used this plug: 96510961A - Panigale V4 Rear Brake Light Plug

Now, has anyone successfully removed their headlights, to replace it with the race fairing blank headlight? I just spent considerable time and effort to try this, had to give up before I broke something. The headlight just did not want to slide out. I removed 4 screws. What's the trick??? Thanks.

There are two bolts which fix the headlight to the front subframe and in addition four little torx head screws that connect it to the air conveyor. Are you sure you’ve removed all four of these little screws? Two of them are easy to locate but the other two are tucked away and very difficult to see, let alone remove.

Once I’d removed all 6 fasteners, as well as the electrical connector, the headlight itself slid out with no resistance.

Hope this helps, James.

Thanks Jamessd! I only removed two of the tiny Torx screws (the ones on the left and right). But I think I've located the other two (rear facing), and will try again if I can find the right tools to get at them. Thanks again, your response was very helpful. :)

Yes where do you disconnect the front headlights I have the rear plug and it works great but I’m heading to the track this weekend and would love to unplug the front headlights and not have to worry about taping them.

You have to pull off the top windscreen piece and the plug is under there. I usually just set the DRL and tape with painters tape.

Ok I just did this today and figured id post a tip. The intake air temperature sensor is physically connected to the bottom of the headlight. So when you remove the headlight you have to remove that sensor and zip tie it somewhere in the vicinity of the intake. I removed the headlight and immediately there was a check engine light and upon reading the code it was clear what it was. The check engine light is not because of the headlight blank but because of the intake temperature sensor.

Relocated the sensor, cleared the code and everything's good to go. We only need the blank for the tail light headlight does not throw a code when removed

It is a good idea to drill holes and reinstall the IAT sensor close to the OEM position in whatever air intake you install, just to keep things consistent.
