Just any FYI Vandemon sells db killers for the Vandemon Undertail. If Im not mistaken Mike said it drops the decibels by 10-15 decibels. I dont remember the exact # but its between 10-15 decibles. And its not expensive.

No they don't

Maybe Vandemon USA doesnt have it in stock. But I emailed Vandemon in Australia which has no affiliation with Vandemon USA other than Vandemon USA being a dealer of Vandemon Performance in Australia. And Mike the owner of Vandemon in Australia said he does in fact sell DB killers for the 959/1199/1299 Undertail exhaust. I deleted that email and cleared my trash even though I still have most of my other emails from him. But I will email Mike now and ask him again whether he sells DB killers for the undertail exhaust and what pricing is. Once I receive a response I will screen shot the email and post it here. If I was a little drunk on my whiskey while working on my bikes with friends and made a mistake reading his response on whether Vandemon Australia makes a sells a DB killer for their undertail exhaust I will be the first to admit it when I post a screen shot of the email. However if I was right then the whiskey didnt affect my reading skills LOLOL

Hi, I am going to Calabogie and have been warned of DB restrictions. Do you have a way to quiet the exhaust for the 1299 Panigale down?
VANDEMON

Hello Glenn In short no BUT i am aware of a in-line catalytic converter made by AKRA called a P-Kat that comes in varied O/D which slips into the engine pipe at one of the joints. We have not tried it but there is a reasonable chance of dropping a couple of DB with this device without a major effect on performance.

I emailed Mike around November or December asking him about DB killers for the Vandemon Undertail exhaust. A customer of mine ordered a Vandemon from me who races asked me to see whether they sold a DB killer. Mike from Vandemon in Australia responded yes they have them. But the shipping is not free for the DB killers like it is for their exhausts directly to the customer unless the DB killers are added to the package. So it was less expensive to order the Vandemon through me than going direct which is why he asked about the DB killers. But if I recall there was no dealer discount on DB killers

Like I wrote in the previous post. I sent an email asking about a DB killer. Maybe they stopped making them from the time I sent the first email asking if they made them. I have no reason to make up a story about them having DB killers. What would be the point of that?

Vandemon Australia just messaged me back on Facebook. He said yes they do make a db killer. He said he will massage me price and photos when he goes back to work later

Omg so I wasnt all that effed up on whiskey the night I read his email. Oh sweet baby jesus. Thank you. Now I don't have to stop and spill it all down the kitchen sink

He said it only brings it down from 108 to 102 db. Im not sure if that is even worth trying. I wear ear plugs anyway. If they are super cheap maybe I'll try them

Still Small amount will I notice 6db difference even with ear plugs???????

It’s great you use earplugs, everyone should! I like my bikes loud but at the tracks that neighbor the towns library, where our bikes need to be whisper quiet, I think 6dB might be enough. Better than putting stock exhaust system back on

I don’t think 6dB less is enough to not need earplugs, earplugs are great for wind noise in the helmet.
On bikes that rev higher/ have a different tone, the exhaust note resonates in my helmet but on these deep ducs I don’t get as much of that

Hello, all from down under. I just come across this thread while surfing the internet and thought I would clear up the question about the availability of removable baffles for the 959,1199,1299 Vandemon under-seat exhaust systems. Yes, we do offer removable baffles as an optional extra to lower noise from about 108Db to 102 DB. This came about as a result of a track day rider in the Netherlands being pinned for excessive noise by track noise metres. The baffle simply slips into the "'Y'' pipe and mufflers then encompass the baffles as well as hold the baffles in under spring tension. This feature is simple to fit and remove taking only 10-15 minutes, which is also ideal for those wanting to stand out less on there commute.

Where are your systems made?

England for the global market I’m pretty sure

very high quality Japanese Ti and the welds are very impressive

the cheap Ti to avoid comes out of China with viruses on the surface
