Absolutely I will drive to florida. Ocala isn't that far from me. About 100 miles.

Let me call over there. I appreciate the heads up!!

Gave them a call. Should be hearing back shortly on what they can do.

Thanks again.

22598 out the door for a 2014 panigale. Ninja paid in full.

The bike equity is killing me a bit. Im about to call him to see how much out the door without the trade.

They charge no fees which is a bonus.

I just got this bike I need to unload! LOL

Here's the one in Daytona that I picked mine up from. Just tell them to beat the deal Ocala is offering and see if they can, all they can say is no, worth a shot. I would ask for a sales manager don't deal with the sales men.

How much negative equity do you have?

I'd suggest selling the kawi privately.. and then pursue the 1199. I think you'll be much better off.

i've given up on giving recommendations to people since there is always something that isn't quite what people are saying it is (trade in values, what they are really willing to pay, whether they are in the market now or next year, or whatever). You don't want to know. ..

Anyhow, what I will point out is that there is very little margin in new bikes. Bike manufacturers will give dealers flooring (float the cost of the bike so that the dealer doesn't actually pay for the bike for like x number of months) - but in return the margin on the bike is somewhere around 8-9%. (Yes, the margin is apparently around there on these bikes).. Which is also why there isn't much movement to discount heavily a 2013 to move it out the door. A) The dealer isn't paying anything on it, and b) outside of maybe some resale value, at the moment, there isn't much difference because the warranty and everything else is the same. . That being said - yes, all things being equal from the consumer side, you are better off with a 14 over a 13 IF everything else is the same.

but yeah - people saying that you should get your depreciation value out of the price because its 13 vs 14 ? Nah. not costing the dealer anything as Ducati is floating it. They have $1500 to $2000 in margin on the bike, they'll need to make something on it and eventually a buyer for the bike will happen. That doesn't mean they won't cut you a deal, but don't expect a "killer deal" on a bike that isn't costing them anything yet.

Fair market value of the motorcycle - trade is what my tag tax will be.

Without trade its 6500 higher. So full amount of invoice. Really steep tax!

Sebastian hooked it up man. He got me a better deal on the same bike but a 2014. Plus no fees.

Jay thanks so much for pointing me in that direction. He is a great sales guy and its no BS. Got me exactly what I wanted.

I pick it up in the morning. Cant wait to ride this beast. Very very excited. :D

Its a base panigale abs model in red. Good enough for me. Im mostly just riding street with the occasional twisties. Even the base far exceeds my abilities. Im an intermediate rider.

S.T.O.K.E.D!

And if you really wanted the LED headlights, now they make really inexpensive kits that will get you (apparently) similar results for approx $100-200

Welcome to the happy money-pit club! :)

Sebastian is the owner, and he can rebuild that bike with his eyes closed.

I'm 750 miles away now, and I still work with him.

On his off days he runs around the state picking up peoples bikes that need service.

I've sent him emails on Sunday's and received not an email back but a phone call. He's a class act, and everyone in his shop is as well.

Like you said he doesn't BS.

New owner of panigale!

Just got mine today from sebastian at mellimoto ducati.

Bike is killer!

Could have just commented on your other thread instead of starting a new one. Just sayin

Anyways, welcome to the money pit. Trust me. If not immediately, it will eventually happen. MODS MODS MODS!

I put about 80 miles on it riding it home today. Got caught in a downpour though. Lucky my wife was behind me and picked me up.
