Sorry guys I know I'm threading a lot on here.. I just want everything perfect and trying to save some cash :) Does anyone know if the 2 year manufacturers can be voided if termi slip ons are installed by owner or a different mechanic other then your dealer?

I didn't want to ask my dealer because I'm sure he would say No either way just to kill me on labor and make $.

as I mentioned previously, the dealer/manufacturer must explicitly prove that whatever problem you are submitting under warranty was directly related to the installation in question. good dealers tend to work with you on these sorts of things if there was a possibility your install hosed stuff up.

What about pulling the ECU? Can the ECU be removed without any signs that it was? For example, painted bolts indicating it was accessed.

It's in your dealers interest to make sure you benefit of the warranty coverage. I had all kinds of issues with my '12 and never tried to hide the fact that I worked on it myself and tracked the bike on every other week-end.

For the standard warranty, I would recommend that you talk directly to Ducati North America to get a definitive answer to your question.

Just don't want to void warranty in anyway. Everything is about money in this day and age and companies love to avoid paying for anything. It's sad really.

It's not all about the money, money is a tool. Some folks just like helping others and seeing them prosper which is a reward in its own right. Give Ducati NA a call with your questions and good luck.

If your a happy soul then your a rebel
