Crystal White over Sapphire Blue. Matches the thin blue line flag on the windshield. Gotta back the blue on a slow bike like this. It’s crazy 1 cylinder on my 1299 is nearly the capacity of my whole triple engine

below is my favorite colour combo for the V4. Time to get some highlighter blaze yellow plasti-dip

I had a 2010 Daytona 675 SE back in the day. My favorite bike I've ever owned. Sold it cuz it got tipped over in a parking lot. Collected an insurance check and decided to sell it. I shouldn't have sold it. Sighh

Sound like some women up in here
Unless you're like 4 foot 8 or somethin

I am not sure if you are aware that some people ride these bikes in a performance setting that requires a substantial amount of fitness to do well? others anodize every bit blue...

Lol it was just a joke. I'm aware that fitness is crucial for those pushin the limits. As for me n mine, mine pushes dust n dirt. And for the record. I hardly ride. I'd like to think I'm the only one in blue!
This is what I call a roll model.

And you leathers are much more comfortable also. ;)
I can’t stress enough how much this makes more sense than looking for grams savings here or there. Main areas of weight saving are (1) wheels (2) xhaust system (3) your body weight.
This is my humble opinion... of which I fail on number 3 ;-)

I have been doing a build thread on my V2 over at Ducati modified forum. Here is a link if you want to check it out. I have taken quite a bit of weight out of mine. I dont know the overall yet, but it feels pretty damn light at the point. Recently I did a motoholders subframe as well as the exhaust and wheels.

.... I was a member over at Ducati Modified for like a hour, replied to a build thread and when they found out I did not have a numbered top triple clamp I got banned.

No you got banned because you don't know when to say when. Not because of the triple tree thing. But you knew that already. If this place had any mods you would be banned from here as well.

Good post and a good thread. Nice work and I’m glad to see you out there tracking the thing

Good content man well we already all know you and Howard are pals so no surprise. Do you guys share the front room? This place have any mods??? What are you building?

He’s like a lot of people here sharing his love for motorcycles. You should do more of that vs trying to ruin everyone else’s experience. Having a opinion is one thing but being a ....... is another. @Mick1976

Me ruin everyone's experience??? .... man you might want to re check yourself on that one. My involvement with these bikes outside of this forum is far beyond then anything you are doing or have done.

Ducati Modified is a good forum. It’s not my cup of tea as it’s a bit to “friendly” but it’s a great place for a lot of people. I’m not particularly fond of the founder as I’m sure he is not particularly fond of me so I don’t go there. The tech, parts and innovation that are displayed there were probably done here long ago so there probably isn’t a lot of content for me there personally but as I said, it’s a cool site for guys getting into the brand and looking to mod their bikes.

Did not mean to stir anything up. Just wanted to share the bike with you guys. The rear subframe was a huge pain for me to get done, and wanted to share the love. Motoholders said that the subframe would mount right up with tail light, and this definitely is not the case. You guys should know before you go down this path that will be a project in of itself, but definitely is nice to get rid of that steel! My last move would be the Ohlins fork and shock. Anyone know if there is any weight savings there? Thanks!

All good man, just a couple of old adversaries going at it. Suspension, negligible as far as weight savings.

Yeah seems that HKMP7's ...... is speaking for his mouth once again. Depression of sharing rooms with BMW Alpina has hit rock bottom lol.
