I'm nearly at 7,500 miles, what can I expect to dish out for the service? (US dollars)

It's basically an oil change. Depending on the dealer $250-$400. There is nothing major scheduled at that mileage. This is something you could probably handle. There are plenty of how to oil change threads on here.

Oh. Well ...., I change my oil at the beginning of every season anyway. Think I will still bring it in to have them look at my blipper. Unfortunately the closest shop is three hours away.

Ouch, three hours. I feel your pain. My dealer is 2 hours away.

Well if you can change the oil, you can also replace your blipper with the translogic and still be in the green.

Time is money too.

Already did that. Helped a little but it is still so unreliable blipping down I turn it off at the track and/or don't use it on the street much.

Don't take it the wrong way, but are you sure you're using it in the right way?

Are you heavy on the throttle when you down shift?

And no throttle when you're upshifting?

I get mixed results at the track, but only because my technique sucks.

Mine works flawlessly. Crisp and quick shifts up/down without fail. Combined with CNC Racing Rearsets. Eye-to-eye shift linkage length and gear selector position adjustment is very important here: a few mm can have a big impact.

OEM or aftermarket rearsets on your 1299?

Eye to eye? Can you elaborate? I put Gia Moto rear sets on and I noticed how important it was to have the linkage set up because I didn’t get it right the first couple times. I also have reverse shift.

It also acted funky with all OEM components.

Heavy on when DOWN shift? You mean up? Not all the time, but I also understand it works smoother the higher in the revs you are. I really don't have any complaints going up the gear box using the QS.

Throttle is closed while DOWN shifting, yes. It's hit or miss with this for me. If it riding spirited or in the track I disable the blipper. Just not reliable.
