What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

I agree. I'll remove it, cut the threads off the Translogic rod then drill and tap. I have stainless threaded rod from the CNC Racing rearsets left over from the Hyper install. But before I modify the Translogic rod I want to make sure I like it.

Good plan. It's better for sure. Not perfect. It's still a micro switch design as opposed to a strain gauge which I would prefer. I would also liked to have seen it ship with an Intellishift interface for some adjustability.

I have a CNC Racing QS on my Hypermotard with full adjustability and it is way smoother than my Panigale. So I'm hoping with this rod it's getting closer to that.

Finally got around to take pictures of my progress. Trying to get her ready for our 1st track day. Nothing crazy just little stuff, I still need to order my Ohlins Steering Damper and Im going to replace the stock clutch cover and order GB cover I've seen guys use here. Today I through on the TechSpec Tank Pads and the Ducati Race Seat. Also using the Puig windscreen & Duca cover.

I hope it's at least better than the OE shift rod.

Rode a .... ton of miles yesterday. From 109 degrees in the valley to being rained on in Big Bear. Fun day.

I haven't ridden to Big Bear since the early 90's.

Look what turned up in the mail today. Direct from Italy. M10RS Corse with the antiskid treatment.

Tried for about 4 months to get some from a US supplier that I have bought accessories from before but all too hard for them. Anyway got them now and it turned out to be cheaper than I would got them for from the USA. There was a wait as Marchesini essentially only make them to order in the gold colour.

What a great way to celebrate the win for VR46. :D

Coated the new titanium swing arm pivot bolts. Hopefully wear is not an issue anymore. Time will tell.

Update on the Translogic shift rod. Wouldn't shift into 2nd gear yesterday. Or I should say the dash indicated 2nd and then immediately dropped to neutral. Was a quick test run. I fixed it by riding the Hyper instead. :D Not sure what's going on. I'll investigate later.

I'm not going to say that it's an adjustment issue as that's rather implied but it might not be. I have set up 6 of these things without a hitch. On the Ti swingarm pieces, you will still get wear on the needle bearing side. Done that. It's 118.00 bucks to change them out. No big deal

Yeah I'm wondering if it's a combination of the AEM rearsets and being out of adjustment. What's weird is that I basically adjusted the rod to exactly what the OE rod length was. I guess it's a matter of switch engagement (timing) that is not the same? How many miles do you get out of the pin before you end up replacing them? Did you notice any improvement in durability with them coated?

After months of waiting these finally showed up. No more splits. Since I'll never have a passenger on her I'm happy to see the split lines gone! Just need a certain painter buddy of mine to hook me up with factory Anniversario graphics. Thinking of how to fade in a subtle hint of carbon weave. :D

You'll figure out the shift issue. The CNC units are a bit more involved with adjustments than what I use which is one of the reasons I make my own rods. On the LTs the rod length is the only way to adjust the shift lever position. On the swingarm shafts, not much help on the coating if any. The drive side being a needle bearing just hammers the material under load on acceleration. You can clearly see the wear pattern on the shaft matches that position on the bearing assembly. Like I said I replaced it a I think 4-5k miles (I ride the crap out of bike 1). Easiest fix since it's a roller is to build the drive side with a steel sleeve. Easy to do but like I said at $100.00 to swap, no big deal. Ti is not such a hot material where wear is an issue. Too bad, it would make for some nice brake rotors.

Vulture bike from Italy have an Anni graphic set, you just need a good wrap guy to apply it (i have the +15R set on my S, high quality)

Took my R to Thunder Hill East.

Few notes:
- Elbow down at will now.
- Improved lap time by a significant amount and into solid A group speed
- Was still hot as hell
- R performed like a Champ again

SORRY in advance for big photos.
