These are the lightweight Racing clip on bars. They are also only about $16 each versus $100 each. My right side bar broke when I lowsided. So I went ahead and replaced both with Vortex.
 
Switched brake discs to SICOM 2nd gen (6 instead of 5mm thick)

Is there anything you DONT tinker with ? I am kinda curious what kinda car you drive and if its heavily modified.

Gecko what are you using for pads with the SICOM? I only have one more set of BrakeTech CMC. Going to have to try the SICOM until Jeff gets it sorted if ever. Is it a 320 or 330 front?

They are 330mm. Brake pads came with the discs included. They are about 5mm wider than the OEMs. The aluminium rings are nicely CNC machined. You have to insist to get the 330mm, otherwise they want to sell you the 320mm version.

For the rear disc: There are two versions. A fixed one and a floating T-drive one. The T-drive version seems to be ....... It broke on friends bike an made a lot of damage :(
 
New tires today. Installed the rear carbon tail fairings to make sure they fit nicely before paint. I think it looks kinda cool all carbon. So glad the stupid seam is gone. I'll leave them installed for tomorrow's ride.

X2 ! Coming from my 1098S to my new 1199R.... the heat is insane. Actually have hundreds of small heat blisters on my legs in the boot area from the heat :eek:
Looking into Nomex socks and inner pants to deflect some of this heat.
 
I dont notice the seat heat, I notice the leg heat on the right side lol. You definitely can NOT wear jeans on the 1299

Definitely heat is there...especially when riding in street with jeans. I wear full suit and ride only in track so I dont feel a thing.

I used Thermo-Tec 13500 12" X 12" Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier. You can find it on amazon or most of the motorcycle stores. I am sure if I took more time would have came out even better. I made quick template from a paper and transfer it to the pad. Next time will use laser cutter.
