What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

Rode today. Leaned over far enough to snap the Light Tech shift knob off bike. Yes snapped off. Need to get new shift arm.

Taking a number one plate holding 1299 back to street status for a friend. Maybe a couple of Sundays more work to get her done.

Will be adding Bursig adapter bolt and shaving off a small part of the left fairing to be able to use the Bursig lift. Installed a new HE air filter and installed the rapid bike unit. I thought installing the Rapid bike on the 1299 was hard because of routing. Installation on the 2016 BMW S1000RR is even worse. Starting from the back and plugging twice as many plugs into the S1000RR was easy. Installing the Rapid My Tuning into the S1000RR was simple (no My Tuning for the 1299 Panigale being offered because its a Vtwin I believe). But putting the gas tank back onto the S1000RR is a nightmare because of the wiring under the tank. Ive been trying to install the tank back for 4 nights. And moving wiring around all over the place. The worst part is that Im like 1/16th of an inch away from where the bolts go in. Something is in the way and I cant find it. The worst part is that threading the harness from the back to the front and plugging everything together (twice as many as the 1299 if not more) was a so simple. But installing the tank so that nothing is in the way is worse than installing my rapid bike on my 1299 where I started from the left side of the bike and had to slide the harness to the right side of the bike and then connect all the plugs. And the worst part of all is that my 2016 S1000RR is a test mule because I have a BMW S1000R that is going to have a rapid bike unit along with rapid bike my tuning installed next week as well as me installing a rapid bike and my tuning on a friends 2017 S1000RR. UGH

Also debating on whether to install the Ohlins front cartridges and Ohlins rear shock DU360 or DU466 rear shock on my base 1299 or install the bitubo front cartridges and bitubo rear shock? From what Ive read and been told the front of my base 1299 isnt that bad however the rear would be the best option to swap out. I havent tested any 1299 bikes with upgraded front or rear suspensions so I have nothing to compare to. But I have ridden harleys , MV Agustas, and a 1299's and their upgraded suspensions felt awesome. Ive been told that the front suspension of my base 1299 isnt that bad which I agree with and that if I did a mod then the rear should be the priority. So which would the 1299 choose. The TTX360, TTX466 or bitubo D0038XXF61. if I get the bitubo front cartridges then Ide like to match the Bitubo rear suspension with it. And if I got the Ohlins front cartridges Ide like to match the DU360 or DU466 rear shock with it.

I track my 1299, 2016 S1000RR and 2015 S1000R 8 to 10 times a year. All 3 bikes get some sort of track time.

Don't know if thew pic is clear as I had to shrink it to fit the size restriction. But is this my baby. over 1300 kms, (all hard track Kms) and she runs fine.

Ohlins front and rear
RB Race Mod
Sprint filter
Termi un der tail
Rotobox
cnc rear sets
1299 seat
Race wind screen

etc...etc.

Shout out YoungR for the rearsets. :)

Was watching yet another 44teeth video the other day and saw the same rearsets on the MotoRapido Ducati BSB bike. Thought that was kinda cool.

........ Timing here on the forums talked me into simi gloss "Satin" clear everything. And adding the black section under the headlight and the backside for the upper. Looks absolutely incredible! Can't wait to get Fefe back together [emoji41]

Nice looking parts can't wait to see them all together on the FE. Nice spray booth I'm glad you are taking care of the environment. [emoji41]

Adding a shorai battery this weekend, installing a bursing sleeve this week once my bursig stand comes in and will cut a half moon in my fairing to make room for the sleeve.

I'm hoping to go for a ride. Might order rear sets too as my big sized 12 feet with Sidi boots on seems to be oversized for the stock rear sets. I can't get a good feel for the OEM controls as is. I need to have a bigger shift lever nub and lengthen it. Also need to change the angle too. Any suggestions? Is the Corse good for this? I like function and form, bling comes second. Ive looked in here but have not found a thread that compares the various rear sets that are available

Pretty pumped on how this turned out. Stripped all the coating off the cans, and blued the welds.
Think it looks Trick!

^^^^^^ And when re-installing the end caps, set them up Laguna Seca style. The internal exhaust tips are pointed away from the Sound booth [emoji41]

Fitted up the Blip Box Pro the other day, have to say a very good piece of kit. Butter smooth up and down shifts with a nice improvement on the oem quick shifter of the 1199.

With the exhaust, RapidBike EVO and now the Blip Box I'm really happy with what I have. This bike will be with me for good now unless it's wrecked or stolen, A base model first of the great Panigale line with a couple of mods :) happy as Larry.

Looking at the CNC rearsets at the start of this thread;

Does anyone know how much higher/ lower the cnc rearsets go vs standard?

Thanks

While everything was apart. Painted the inside of the rear sections in the same Satin black. Think it looks more finished Vrs the white.
And thanks to Mick swapped everything in the back to Carbon Fiber [emoji106]

She's back together, just need blinker brackets to get Micks Carbon Fiber tail tidy. Moon walking video to be added soon. LoL.

Really like the carbon rear section, where did you get that from?

I too have been looking for the CF tail section to use under the stock plastics... I was sure MotoComposites sold it at one point but can't find it now. Ohh the bike looks great TOBTEK
