Since becoming a Ducati owner MANY years ago I NEVER liked hearing it referred to as a "Duck" as in the bird that eats bread from your hands at the pond, or when I avoid calls by letting the voicemail pick it up.

Personally I prefer using the name "Duke" since it sounds more regal and even fits with how the Moto GP announcers pronounce it a "Doo-caatee" :eek:

Lets see what the polls say on this one and how you prefer to label yours.

I have always called it my Italian Mistress... My kids even call her that.

Funny story... Was at a family function and my youngest (4 years old at time), told everyone that I had a mistress.... Should have seen the eyebrows I got :)

What do you call a temperamental, beautiful and passionate fire breathing dragon purpose built to toast your carcass and ensure a visceral experience at the push of the starter button? Must be something naughty! Italian mistress works, but not perfect.
 
You started a poll asking what we call our Ducati and "Ducati" is not one of the options??? That's what I call mine.
 
I call mine various names. Duc (DUCK), Pani, Ducati or 1199. However, my wife calls it "The ....." because I always smack its backend when I come in the garage as well as sharing time between them!

You are so absolutely right man! How did I screw that one up and leave it off? My apologies since thats what I call mine !! :eek::D
