With many of us living in neighborhoods with little children, condos, etc. I was wondering if an external switch could be implemented for a "coming home mode"

Anyone ever tried that out?

I mean, who needs silence at 42 mph in 3rd (or was it 2nd) when you could need it under 20 mph when pulling into your street...

Interesting?

It would be a nice feature to have. I enjoy having a hearty exhaust note on the street but, like many, would prefer not to irritate the neighbors with excessive noise when on neighborhood roads. Something more effective than the stock exhaust valve would be neat as well.

I wonder if this is a tuneboy enhancement request? Sounds like something that could be done in code, kind of like the cruise control activation.

Wayne said he could incorporate this for example in WET mode, up to 25 mph. It was one of the reasons why i bought it. It is not incorporated yet.

Anything that would provide more functionality to WET mode is a plus in my book. It's a very nice setting to have but I fortunately do not find myself getting caught in the rain that often so it's very rarely used as is.

i brought a spare flapper motor to work today to check out the connectivity...

maybe i make a connector for in between, and have wires coming out, to a switch.

or just a manual connection, to pull the valve by hand and lock it. ....

Referring to owner's manual for the wiring harness diagram, ITEM 20: EX-UP drive.
colour code wires
LB -Light blue (Mot+) = 12V (to full open valve)
V - Violet (Mot-) = GND or return (to full open valve)
likely you need a double-pole-single-throw (DPST) switch...and rely on return-spring for closure...

assuming, you have no colour blindness..
