Ordered mine in begining of January here in PA, my dealer says they are held up in customs because ducati sends with battery installed. Anyone else hearing this. Hope the 1199 comes soon I have a box o parts for her.

That was an old excuse that was given. Silly if you think about it since cars and all other motorcycles also come with batteries (as do all other Ducati models).

Yes ... My dealer told me this story for 3 weeks in a row, but now he's changing story ... I'm really close to cancel my order!

Went to a dealership cocktail/reception party last night that was for their Panigale buyers. I was told that the northeast U.S. received the highest number of new Panigales. They had 10 S models (some with and some without ABS) and a Tricolore. So, umm, yeah, I'd say your dealer is perhaps "mistaken".

I just picked up my S ABS a couple hours ago. Oh man oh man. The bike is sweeeet. I kept it within the 6K rev guideline, but you can tell this thing just wants to rip. I'm just north of Boston. Got the first S ABS.

Thanks! I'm in seventh heaven right now. Only problem........ I have to go out with the wife for dinner.. Planned it a few weeks ago Grrrrrrr.. Just want to ride!! Trust me, this bike is worth the wait. It feels so smooth, powerful and nimble. My tires were brand new so I took it real easy on the cold streets, but I know this bike will perform. This is my first Ohlins setup and I am VERY happy I went with the S over the base. It is like you are riding on glass.. I'll write a more in depth post on the 1199 when I have more time on it.

Making the wait even worst...picking up my TRI on the 4th...!
Congrats...!

Thanks man. My dealer kept me in the loop all the way.. I got to see it right after they took it out of the crate. I haven't slept a wink since Wednesday; the first time I saw it in their warehouse. I'm taking it out all day tomorrow. It was well worth all the sleepless nights.

Picking up my Ducati 1199S this coming week in Scottsdale. Can't wait to take it out for its first ride.......

Cool...,
Can't complain about my dealer either, they sent me pics as soon as they opened the crate...the only thing is that they seem to be wanting to have it on the showroom floor a little bit longer to get customers attracted
Anyway, it's cold and raining here beginning of next week, and the dealer being 100 miles from home, it doesn't bother me too much.Still looking forward to open the throttle on the first stretch of road....;)

Picked up my Tricolore today and road off into Panigale heaven...Oh so sweet!!! :D

Picking mine up Wednesday. Weather looks to be in the 78-83 temp range and I'm tempted to ride it back from Indianapolis to Chicago to get in some proper break in miles...

:)

I went to the launch party, and fell in love. Test rode an S (non ABS) today, and it secured the deal. I've been told I may be getting the first Tricolore in WA this week, hopefully Mon/Tues.

EXCITED.
