I have a 2021 V4S. I prefer the Termi 4Uscite. I just finished the install on mine. So multiple reasons.
With the Termi, it comes with CF belly pans, all new hardware, instructions, and a T800 diagnostic tool for UpMap with use of your smartphone.
Also, price point is really nice and it comes with one free UpMap. You can select between a tune with the baffles and without. I love the sound of it.

According to the dynos, the Termi does offer more power and TQ, but not by much.
The Akra is Ducati approved, the Termi is not.
Termi has more history with Ducati
The Termi pipe design is identical to the MotoGP pipe design for v4's

Hey! I'm waiting for my Panigale v4s to arrive and I'm not sure about which exhaust to choose yet.. Couldn't find a definitive answer to this question –
Which is the better choice and why? – Akrapovic vs. Termignoni 4uscite.

I like them both, Akra is ok I guess in terms of looks and sound, but it is so much more expensive than 4uscite, can anyone who knows can explain why that is?
Termi – I like the design, it kind of sound better in videos and to my surprise its also cheaper, but the thing I'm worried about is that the tail section is going to be too heavy and when I add the licence plate, it will look too "stuffy".

Did you ever decide on which exhaust you were going to mount on your bike?
Personally I prefer the Termi system. I think the Termi system is Stainless steel and the Akra system is Titanium i believe, so that would definitely contribute to cost. Also the Akra is a Ducati Performance part so probably adding to the cost. Performance wise i think both systems have the same potential or the difference would be negligible. So pick whatever system you like more and fits your budget.

I dont think there can definitively be a better system. Its like which bike is the best? There is no black and white answer
Swan , Termi makes two 4UCITE exhausts. The less expensive one which has titanium sleeves on its exhaust cans with carbon fiber tips and the headers are stainless steel. And they make the more expensive one which is full titanium. The stainless/titanium retails for $4479 and the full titanium retails for $6995. I sold 2 Termi slipon systems to a SFV4 guy and a V4 guys last week. And sold a number of the less expensive 4UCITE systems. Im still waiting for someone to ask for the full titanium 4UCITE. I quoted one guy for the full titanium system. It was a better bargain price wise than the Akra. But in the end he ended buying the stainless/titanium 4UCITE. The price I quoted him, he was able to buy the stainless/titanium 4UCITE and a set of OZ wheels

@Roc Akrapovic began selling their exhausts here in the US in 1990. But I do remember the big guys were Vance and Hines, Two Brothers, D&D, and Yoshimura before seeing Akrapovic. And Akra wasnt that popular for a long time. Oh and I do remember seeing Termis on Ducati's back in the day. But I dont remember when Akra started to get really popular. They just started appearing more and more on bikes.
Akropovic started be popular in US in late 90 all round 98-99

Yep you are correct. They began getting popular 98-99. I remember seeing a few Akra exhausts here and there when I bought a red black and white 1994 CBR 600F2. I wound up installing a D&D full system on that bike. Then sold it around March 1996 and bought the 1996 Kawasaki ZX-6R. I remember my riding buddies making fun of the Kawasaki because of its color combo. The bike was green and white. But the front fairing had these small purple/blue areas. The side fairings had some purple/blue on them. And the rear tail section had this wavy line that went from purple/blue to pink lol. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/5a/3e/ee/5a3eee1d493b8a219b31829f6e030a72.jpg I had a Muzzy full system on that bike. But I began seeing more Akra exhausts in 1996. And like you wrote they began getting very popular around 98-99. My buddy bought a brand new Honda RC51 in 2002 and got the Akra full titanium exhaust installed on his bike. I think the RC51 is still one of the most beautiful bikes designed, even 21 years after first coming out in 2000.

Where?

$4500 was the cheapest I’ve found at Superbike Unlimited and I don’t think it included the required lower fairings.

The upmap doesn’t come with the V4 Akrapovic exhaust. Your dealer has to register its serial number to your VIN then they can download it from Ducati and install it on your bike.

The dealer installing the V4 Akra exhaust isnt the only one that can register its serial number to your Vin. Ive sold a few V4 Akra exhausts as well as Termi headers to V2 guys who already have the Termi slipons. I order them at a discount from a friend in Italy. They get drop shipped to whoever ordered them from me. Once the person receives their exhaust. I email my buddy in Italy who then emails Ducati the bikes vin number along with the exhaust serial #. Ducati inputs the date into their system and any Ducati dealer in the US ( Im not sure if its also around the world) can install the exhausts and download the upmap to the bike.

I plan on going Termi 4uscite. Have to get carbon belly painted to match Corse livery. Love the look and the sound of it. Akra looks good and all, but the Termi without baffles is insane and just screams Ducati to me

looks good. how do things work out with rear turn signals? i have the futurismoto rear turn signals. seems like the rear pipes would cover that up? Panigale Tail Tidy

If you want the official map then you need the Akra.

Yes, you can get the Termi and get an UpMap but there is a catch. You will need to unplug the sensor connectors for it to run properly AND you will need to remove the sensors from the exhaust if you don't want them to clog up. Even if you just unplug the connectors but leave the sensors in the exhaust and thing you can just return to the stock map anytime you are wrong. The sensors will be clogged and it will run like ..... So, going Termi means going map and no turning back. You therefore need to bring in considerations about warranty and re-sell value.
