The US has for years pursued the Brzezinski doctrine, the short version is he who controls central europe (ukraine) controls the world island and he who controls the world island controls the world. However the US is a dollar short and a day late with regards Ukraine, Donnie is a businessman and he knows when to cut losses. The US ship of state does not change course easily, while there is much public fanfare over stopping the war, behind the scenes they are plotting their next move.
