Who is going to be at COTA 25-26?

They work real nice.. [emoji16] I've always ran them in the past. I'll be on Dunlop slicks this time around.

The SC2s will likely be choice, as it only looks like high 80's. Could run SC1s, but not necessary until it gets into the high 90's. The SC2s can start to get tore up in the really high heat.

I will be running

SC2 front
Sc3 rear

They recommended this set up, for a bit more longevity

COTA will be the first outing with the V4

Thanks man

But I was looking for more normal people, with normal bikes lap time

Hope, I can get close to 2.25 or sub 2.30

I have been to COTA twice it's a fun track and you can really push it at times with the wide run off areas especially heading into turn 1.

I ran a 2.25 and was pushing hard, i'm slightly faster than a mid pack A rider.

Great reference

If I can get close to 2.25 I would be very happy

Thanks

I'll be there on Saturday to have fun and continue getting comfortable with my first >1,000cc motorcycle. Anyone know if Pirelli is selling tires tomorrow during prep day?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Great man

See you there

Pirelli is supposed to be there

Pirelli (South Central Race Center) is there for just about every COTA weekend as long as it doesn’t clash with a CMRA round. John is good people.

LoL.. Sherpa23 is pretty much on point. Got to run a private exhibition with Audi out there so the employees could get a peek at their new V4 on track for some Audi company retreat thing.

I usually run in the low 2:20s or so. I think my fastest is a 2:20 and some change on the V4 now. Hoping to dip into 2:19s if I can.

We'll be in the Eleven Motorsports garage.

Hey man. I missed the chance to come by to talk to you. I was in Garage 1 and ran both days in L3 for the first time. I Improved my last years best 2:37 to consistent 2:32s with passing (3 laps in a row in one session). I had amazing feeling with the bike by the end of the day 2 and had the pace for 2:30 probably, but the last two sessions just couldn't get clear track and then ran into a small technical issue on the last session, but was happy overall.

Can't wait to go back out there again and join the sub 2:30 club. :)

Sounds like there was some carnage with some sketchy passing? I thought these COTA track days were pretty disciplined in that regard. Is that not the case or was this just a freak occurrence?

Yeah, it was super busy out there this last weekend. I think I bumped a high 2:21 once and never came close again. Mostly in the 23-25 range the rest of the time. Had to make some unnecessarily aggressive passes to hit that faster time. No need for that kind of riding on a trackday, so just backed it down a bit.

Those are some solid times there man. If you had some clear track, you would definitely have broken the 2:30 barrier. Just in case you haven't heard the news, Eleven Motorsports will be putting on their own event in September. They are limiting it down to less riders, so there should be more quality track time.

I will be skipping the RS event in August to run with Eleven Motorsports in September. Should be a pretty great event.

Good to know! I will join that as well, but I think I'll do RS event in August :). Agree, it was a busy event even on a large track like COTA. I tried going out right in front, then you get into traffic after the in-lap, tried going out last, then you battle traffic right from the start :) I caught myself doing block passes a couple of times, and figured the same that it is just not cool for this kind of event. But overall it was still great couple of days!
