who will take the Ducati V4 to the track in 2018?

That might actually happen, Ducati has been doing a lot of accessory "packages" lately, I could see us getting a "V4 Track Package" of some kind. If not, we'll just have to make our own.

question is...are you building a bad ... track bike?:cool::D

I'm definitely hoping for the bare bones track bike option being available. I'm sick of spending so much money on a bike and then having to dump all the expensive lights and emissions regulated exhaust in the cupboard for several years and then spending another fortune on all the bits it should have come with in the first place.

They could be changing, that's true. At this point I don't think they have but more importantly I wasnt referring to the price with taxes and all so maybe for you it will be $45 when it's all said and done.

I can never get pics to post here. If you're on IG there are pics on my IG profile.

Wait. Trying Tapatalk. Let's see if I️ can get pics to post.

great pics thank you, i have a soft spot for the 999R awesome collection and a couple of nice cars to boot. Congrats.

I've already put my deposit down for the V4S here in Austin. Should be at the top of the list and expecting to hopefully pick it up sometime in Feb.

Mine will be a full track only setup, same as my 1299s. Hoping some companies will get on top of the aftermarket bits quickly, but will likely be forced into w/e DP is offering.

Will need rearsets, exhaust, and bodywork to start off. I'm unsure how the new Brembo "Stylema" (..dumbest name ever, btw) brakes will perform. I wasn't very happy with the stock setup on the 1299 at the track. It had terrible fade. It will be a learning curve in the beginning to sort out oddities/issues here and there, but I'm ready.

Super-excited to get the new V4 out on the track. Should be a serious weapon.

waiting on bodywork will be a pain.

Thanks. There are several Italian cars at well (as you noted) so space is at a premium, even with all the lifts.

Interesting about the 999R being the one you have a soft spot for. The 999R is the most surprising bike of all to me. I️ disliked them for a very long time and they've only recently grown on me. I️ can tell you first hand that my 999R is one of the nicest riding bikes I've ever ridden.

With any luck I'll have my V4S this Friday 3/30. Which will give me 2 weeks to get her ready for Barber. Sadly no one has any good crash protection items available at this time. I've ordered R&G items through twisted throttle but they will not arrive until mid to late June.

Mine is going to VIR on April 2nd.
Then Cornerspeed Ducati-MA days @ VIR on April 16th/17th.
Then NCBike on April 22nd.

I mean, is anyone going to just build only race track version. Fairings, lights, side stand etc. Im just curious

I picked up my V4S yesterday and it's going to be my new race bike for 2018, just waiting on parts to start been available

Keep us posted on what you end up using and what your thoughts are. I'm doing the same with mine and would love to get some reviews/experience with different options.

MotoX183
I will keep you updated with what I get and find that works good , looking forward to it

Picked up my V4 S last Friday and it will be my track bike. MotoX183 I have been pitted next you a few times at COTA.

I bought my V4 only to ride it on track. Already two track days done. Two additional days at the end of the month.

Nice! Hope to see you out again at the end of May. Should be fun to wring them out @ COTA! I'm hoping to dip under the 2:20 mark on the new steed.. :D

1st track day today, way different than my R1M, struggling with the front end, struggling with the vivacity of the bike, but man this is an engine... I'm stunned by the power and how it's available, I need a couple more days and the times will drop!

Today at Le Mans:
