Just a question - why are you in Wet mode when the ground looks dry?

The standard base front forks are awesome .
Gillo,
That is not my bike, but I also use wet mode in the dry. I have it set with the 195 lo engine, with all the wet settings including suspension ( mine is an S) except traction control on 6.
I use this when I am in transit heading through the burbs on my way to the hills. In this mode everything is softer and smoother and it commutes real easy.
I also sometimes use this mode when I am out on bad back country roads that are real bumpy and simply switch it when the roads get better.
When I get to the hills I select sport while riding and it all changes, including the suspension.I have it set with 195 hi engine in sport.
If it rains I simply go back to the t default with the 120 HP engine.
I am always scrolling through my maps.
Yeah right - I've only had my bike a couple of weeks (doing the first service Tuesday). I've had a play in all three modes and whilst I've only had 6000rpm to play with, I loved 195hi in Race mode and have put Sport to 195hi also.
It was wet when I was in wet mode and was in no state to really push it. The TC light was flashing away quite a bit even though I was taking it pretty easy.
I haven't really played with the suspension yet (or much else for that matter) so I'll have to give it a go. I've been commuting in Sport quite happily 45kms each way in all sorts of roads/traffic.
The only time it has been really unhappy is rat running the last couple of k's near work to avoid trams and I was still in Race mode.
Anyway, I have parked the bike until the service on Tuesday (since Wednesday) and I'm getting a bit fidgety, especially as I now have revs waiting for me!!
