Workshop manual ??

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I have the USB stick now. In order to access the workshop manuals, a program needs to be executed and this is probably how the info is copy protected.

Nevertheless, manual pages (e.g. specific procedures) can be "printed" to a PDF file and thus can be shared. I know someone ??? in the forum has a site where files have been placed for people to download. Let me know which "manual procedures" you need and I ´ll be happy to e-mail them to ??? so he can make them available to all.

How many procedures are there?? Would it be possible to print every procedure to PDF's, and either zip them all up, or combine them all into one big PDF?

damn ducati for lumping them all together. I would happily pay for a service manual, but I don't have any need for a service manual for a diavel.

As far as I know, the procedures can only be printed one by one.

There are quite a few procedures and some are model specific (Base, S, S w/ABS, etc.)

Below is a list of the maintenance procedures

Operations to be carried out by the customer Maintenance operations
»
Check engine oil level
Changing the engine oil and filter cartridge
Checking valve clearances
Spark plugs replacement
Changing and cleaning the air filters
Checking the coolant level
Changing the coolant
Changing the fluid in the front brake circuit
Changing the rear brake circuit fluid
Changing the clutch fluid
Draining the clutch hydraulic circuit
Filling the clutch circuit
Adjusting the chain tension
Checking front brake pad wear
Checking rear brake pad wear
Adjusting the clutch lever and front brake lever
Adjusting the position of the gear change and rear brake pedals
Adjusting the front fork
Adjusting the rear shock absorber
Adjusting the rear ride height

Besides the maintenance procedures there are chapters dedicated to Fairings, Electric System, Chassis, Fuel/Exhaust and Engine. Each with a lot of procedures.

Well if you were to print every single procedure to a PDF (meaning a file, not actual paper), you'd only have to do it once, because once it's done you can just do what you want with the PDF files - combine them, group them into folders, ect.

Yeah, printing every single procedure to PDF files can certainly be done. It would take a LOT of time and effort.

If you didn't want to do it, I wouldn't blame you. I'm sure there may be others on here who'd be willing to help you out too ;)

Your call though, you bought it. We'd just be grateful if it happened. :)

Sorry but I can't do it, it would really be time consuming (quite a few days I reckon). But as I wrote before, I'll be happy to print and share specific procedures when asked for. I guess the 20%-80% rule will surely apply for the procedures we will be needing ...

Cheers

Where are you on this? Are you buying it or need someone to go on on it with you? What format is it? CD/DVD, number of disks? TIA.

Procedure to check oil:

1.Place bike upright.
2.Look through hole in fairing for oil sight glass.

Wait....WHAT HOLE???!!!!????!!!! Pfft.

If you did take the time to PDF every file then I'm sure there would be a few hundred of us out here who would happily Paypal you $50 or so for your efforts.

I definately would pay $50 for the full manual in pdf format all segmented and categorized.

+1 Absolutely. That would be $46 US at current exchange rates to Australia :)

+1 for me!

I contacted my local dealer in Australia about the link on the pro-italia sight. He immediately contacted Ducati and was told that it was un-available to him through Ducati.

Becuase it is a sore topic on this forum, he said if I wanted to come in and convert them to a pdf format he would set aside some time for me.

I don't know how to do it, but I'm sure I will work it out.

I am currently offshore at the moment and won't be home for a few weeks, but once I get it I will post for all to use.

This is not a false promise...if I can get it I will happily share, might take about a month from now.

Fingers crossed.
