Workshop manual ??

HOld up guys, xpercad says there may be a registration process that would preclude an easy distribution of this. I asked him to extract the image and try to open the files on another computer without internet access. We need to see if it phones home, and if it does, someone needs to develop a cracked executable or patch for this to work.

what about a group deal?

i'd pay 50 bucks. put it in the pot (up to 750) and we'll have a shared manual.

who can ensure it will run on multiple 'putters? I would be willing to set up a paypal just for this and get it for the group (pay in advance, then a ducati enthusiast orders it, "a friend of mine" makes an ISO and might send it out if you send a love letter to his girl)

deal?

edit: price is only $569.02 . so we need ~10 more peeps to take part

+1 but more than 10 will want it I mean we still have all the peeps in oz that will take part I'm sure ... I'd pay 50 but more than likely it will be less. Just saying 40 bucks less is 40 for track time.

I'm ballin on a budget over here :)

xpercad, can you print to PDF all the panigale stuff? This would be the easiest method.

I can get 91471131C for $443 (my cost), but that's still a chunk of change for a group of bikes I'm not likely to work on much for several years....except for my own, which is under warranty for two years, so all I'll be doing is changing oil and resetting the maintenance message. I figure I can do those without a manual. ;)

I'm going to go ahead and order the '88-'08 set (91471131A....$339), and the '09-'11 set (91471131B....$157) for business purposes. This format will actually come in darned handy compared to buying them onsie-twosie. I figure I can buy a Windows tablet just for this purpose, too, so it's easy to view them while working.

They'll probably cut the price on the '12-'13 set in a year or two when it's more likely I'll be working on those bikes, anyway.

I am in, hopefully we can get more than 10 people to chime in...

Being that I am out of work right now (headed back to school in the fall) I could probably do this without any problems. Going to need to know how to install those Ti valves right...

PS I'm in

I'd chip in for a shared manual. Of course...if a ton of people want it, everyone should pitch in....maybe even less than $50 if there is enough demand.

As far as I know, the procedures can only be printed one by one.

There are quite a few procedures and some are model specific (Base, S, S w/ABS, etc.)

Below is a list of the maintenance procedures

Operations to be carried out by the customer Maintenance operations
»
Check engine oil level
Changing the engine oil and filter cartridge
Checking valve clearances
Spark plugs replacement
Changing and cleaning the air filters
Checking the coolant level
Changing the coolant
Changing the fluid in the front brake circuit
Changing the rear brake circuit fluid
Changing the clutch fluid
Draining the clutch hydraulic circuit
Filling the clutch circuit
Adjusting the chain tension
Checking front brake pad wear
Checking rear brake pad wear
Adjusting the clutch lever and front brake lever
Adjusting the position of the gear change and rear brake pedals
Adjusting the front fork
Adjusting the rear shock absorber
Adjusting the rear ride height

Besides the maintenance procedures there are chapters dedicated to Fairings, Electric System, Chassis, Fuel/Exhaust and Engine. Each with a lot of procedures.

Could you please post the "spark plug replacement" procedure please ?

The top plug is a piece of piss but the front has a cover which looks like it should give access until you remove it, then the angles look all wrong and the HT too short and it seems impossible to hook out without interfering with the radiator. Would be most intrigued to see what the real procedure it is, and if the fairing does have to come off then what the .... is the little teaser cover for ?
Ironic too that the tool kit comes with a plug spanner but the owner manual says visit you dealer for a plug change !!! ergh

Procedure to check oil:

1.Place bike upright.
2.Look through hole in fairing for oil sight glass.

Wait....WHAT HOLE???!!!!????!!!! Pfft.

I was initially fuming when I got the fairing melting issue, but only just noticed that the new replacement fairing lower now has a sight glass for oil level :)

At the first service I asked about plug removal and as you've noted the rear isn't a problem. I was told to do the front plug they lower the front of the engine. That's all I know about it.

I'd pitch in for a supposed shared manual, but so far it doesn't look like we've found a way to really share it. Once we figure that out then we can talk, and maybe we won't even need to buy one, if xpercad can make an ISO and we can use it.
