Wrap or No Wrap

This paint is EXTREMELY sensitive to UV rays, so I would NOT put anything on top of it nor would I leave it in the sun for long periods of time.

The paint will age (become darker) when in the sun, which is what causes the shadows. My dealer and I may potentially have my bike re-sprayed or just re-clear quoted with a better UV protective clear coat this winter, so I no longer need to worry about this.

BigBoost, thanks for the update and info on the service bulletin. The guy that has installed the protective film on my other bikes says that the film has UV protection. I'm going to ask him for the the exact product name and will do some more research.

Almost, but I believe you have this backwards. The paint actually becomes brighter from the sun, which is why you see dark spots when stickers or bugs keep the sun from hitting that spot. It is only darker in comparison to the bits that have gotten more sun, and in most cases will lighten up again when fully exposed to the sun again.
