wsbk ducati short on power

I know the Ducati breaths well with the huge valves, but if I was a Kawa/Honda/Yam engineer, and couldn't make more power with an inline 4, I'd hang myself.

Maybe the rules are limiting the mods the japs can do and the Ducati has a racier engine stock, as usual. Not to mention that there is no way that the Ducati doesn't have a weight advantage.
The WSBK Aprilia officially weighs in at 165Kg, the Ducati 1199 officially weighs in at 168 Kg... From their press releases, introducing their 2015 WSBK bikes.

Nope, WSBK minimum dry weight is 165kg. They could surely get it down below that on some of the bikes if they wanted to. I seem to recall a couple years ago that actual weights got leaked and several were actually quite a bit over the limit.
