Ape forum member here inviting you guys out for some mountain runs this year! We usually get about 4-5 of us and would like to get more of the Duc family out with us. The rides are typically all day full leather fast paced through the WV-VA mountains of Rt 33, 250, 39, 42, 60, 220, and a bunch others. If there's any interest shoot me a pm or post up and we'll set something up. Ride safe!

I grew up in that area.

It's roads in between the ones you mentioned that are the ones to hit.

Granted I still miss Thornton Gap (211) and Goshen Pass (39).

Give me a day I'll write more. It's after midnight.

Not sure how long you've been gone from the area. 211 is still nice but it's close enough to the beltway where the VA state troopers continually patrol it and reckless tickets are no fun for anyone. We typically meet out in Front Royal beyond the traps and it makes for a much less drama filled day.

Up until last year we would still ride it. The county (Rappahanock) had a grant for a few years. It scared most people off and sadly many of the restaurants closed. The key was to be there and gone before 9am. I used to ride it after work sometimes.

I'm in Annapolis but usually run out to WV 2-3 per month for all day rides in the Goodstuff

Gonna do a mountain ride this Saturday 3/24 if anyone is interested. Shoot me a PM for the details. Pace will be quick and full leather is recommended. :)

Thats the Blue Ridge Parkway route correct? Some nice roads up that way.

You guys talking about just a day trip - out early and back before too late? Or are you thinking of staying overnight someplace up there? And WHEN are you thinking?

Setting up a ride for the 17th since it's supposed to be 70's and sunshine. A few of us are going so post up if you're interested.

Alright gents, 1st rip of the year. Meet is at the Front Royal Exxon 9am on Sunday the 17th. Pace will be quick and cowhide highly recommended. Pm me with any questions. Hope to see you there!

Sunday, May 1st. Front Royal Exxon 8am. We will be riding on Rt.33, 220, 250, 42, and the epic 311 near Lexington. This will be a fast paced ride with leather recommended as pucks will be down as usual. Post up or PM me with any questions. Hope to see some of you guys out there.

May 16th Sunday, front royal Exxon off rt 340 8am. This will be the last ride posted as this forum seems to be dead.

I'll be back up that way riding in a few weeks (June). I never heard back from you after the last PM I sent you.

Being without a street bike was killing me so I picked up something over the weekend.

Haven't had a chance to hit that route. Seems like it's been a monsoon up here every week for the past month. A few of us are going down to Deals Gap June 8-13 so I'll roll any time after that when your ready. What bike did you get?

Saw one at the Yam dealership the other day, pretty bike! We got some guys with some tricked out R1's that go on the rides so you won't be alone.
