Zero Gravity Corsa Windscreen

You don't need to remove the nose to put the ZG Corsa shield. I did it last week and just used my two fingers, palms up to hold the nuts on the lower part. There is enough flex in the plastic to slide your hand down there, unless you have really huge hands.

Just remove the mirrors and two upper screen screws.

how difficult is removing the mirrors? i dont have the manual handy nor the bike near me to check it out lol

mirrors are not difficult to remove they are difficult to put back on. make note of exactly the way the wires wrap around the housing. take pictures or a video of how they lay for a visual later. trust me without the manual or the picture it will be difficult to put them back on

Corsa or double bubble? Dark or Light Smoke? Those are the questions I struggle with

i have light smoke (look at my pics though its pretty dark) and its double bubble.

i wish had the bike near to me to take a look. so apparently it could be as simple as: removing the mirrors, removing the nuts of the windscreen, and hopefully be able to slide the new one down in and resecure nuts?

Zero Gravity easy..

For anyone who has this installed on their 1199, how was the installation process? I'm reading that the whole front fairing must come off?? Pics of it on your bike would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

just like the header says, HOWVER if you set up before installing you'll be fine. 1st go buy 2 maybe 3 extra rubber grommets, then super glue end to screen. 2nd allow to dry, 3rd get find that is trust worthy by using 2 PAIRS of hands you can pry the front nose enough to slide the screen in and not loose the screw ends on the screen. 15 minutes later good to go!

Superglue and my bike will never see each other.... thats not the right way to do anything.....

you guys dont understand, there are (2) 7mm hex screws at the bottom of the screen with rubber grommets, when putting the new screen back in these will fall into front nose area, YOU"LL NEVER find them, the superglue is just a dab of where the lips of the grommet and the inside of screen meet. you dont need to go crazy with the glue. Do it without the glue and you'll be tearing the whole nose apart. Good Luck!! you'll see

I have done this replacement...No Superglue was involved!!!

...and just to be clear ...the screws are Torx not Hex..
This is the same situation when I was asked how to install DP Gas cap...many people said you need Superglue for that too....Again..Not true....Superglue is not a tool/solution to any install on a bike..

Replacing the windscreen wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The nose comes off fairly easily--and once off the new windscreen goes on in about 2 min. I did superglue the screws at the bottom in the event I'll ever replace the Zero G windscreen currently on the bike.

About the hardest part is just getting the mirrors back on. The plug wires for the turn signals make the reinstallation frustrating, but it just takes a little patience.

I went with a non double-bubble, btw--the extra pressure of the wind helps alleviate some of the pressure on your wrists when riding for hours.

thats correct i know a few guys that did it without taking it off. i dropped the grommet in the lights so i had to take it off.

Ditto that! I also installed the zero gravity corsa and really like it so far. Much better than stock for me. I feel like stock is too small and doesn't offer much protection. I'm also 6'3".

You’ll want the dealer to install it. There is no amount of YouTube University hours that will garnish the frustration of trying to accomplish that. Good luck.

Despite the necro nature of the post, was this serious? It can be accomplished with simple hand tools...

It definitely can be accomplished. It just comes to someone's level of ability and amount of time willing to spend coupled with patience.
