Has anyone had to replace their front fork due to a issue with not having the proper rebound? i just got mine serviced and they said they are ordering me a new fork.

I'm about to change my fork cartridges. Any considerations regarding the removal of the old ones? Can it be done on the bike or do I need to remove them? Can I leave the old compression adjuster screws or, do I need to find other bolts to shut the holes?

while having the front disassembled at the moment > i was wondering if i should already change the fork oil (marzocchi) and maybe switch to a different oil. any recommendations? thx phil
