Technically, no. However, the dealer can use whatever excuse to refuse a warranty claim. That said, if you had an issue with the bike unrelated to the motor and its performance, then they can't void your warranty. If you were to throw a rod that may have been caused by whatever reason, they can easily blame it on the exhaust. Basically they have to prove that whatever problem you're experiencing was caused by the aftermarket exhaust. Otherwise, they can't just void your warranty simply because they see an exhaust installed.
Yup I’m in right now for a coolant leak the streetfighters are having issues with it from the water pump gasket

I’m fully tuned they didn’t give me any issues, that said if you come in with a fried piston they will blame the tune

When will Brentuning finally release the flash advertised for the Streetfighter V4:)
It's out just got mine I can't tell if it's more top end but bottom end feels more alive I'm throwing it on the dyno soon. Deff starts better and the idle is smooth. I kinda feel like I lost some higher end pull but I only have 20 mins on it

Hello , with our flash you will never have loss of power throughout the entire power curve. If you need help with tuning your motorcycle properly with a proper flash let us know.
We can also activate your fan early, plus matching rev limiter incase you didn't receive these options with your current tune.

Best regards,
SLR-TUNING

SLR is a high quality tune, I am very happy with the product and Frank's service.

Understood on Frank..in first 5min i could tell he was something special.

So i pay 800 for the tuner delivered to my door, then copy the base file from the bike, email that to Frank..he sends me maps to upload into handheld then you flash it into the bike ECU....

He said he can put the fan's on earlier, and eliminates some of the stock fueling issues....

He also said i can get a dyno run, and send him the data for adjustments to my canned tune...seems like a good investment for the bike.

Really i'm just concerned with a lean condition leading to another blown motor. My 1199 had ducati upmap (termi slip on only) and i know the bike ran lean based on how my blown to .... piston looked haha...

Do i have this right fellas? and appreciate all the help guys!

Yes, that's basically how it works.

Bren got a bad rap from some dubious marketing nonsense with some Troy Gleason character and .... posting on forums. It was worse on the jap bike forums than here. So you have all that drama, and the polar opposite which is SLR. If I were going with a Dimsport tuning option, yes the hardware is the same, I'd go SLR. The tunes between SLR and Bren are the result of the tuner. I think there was an old thread on here were someone was having problems with a Bren tune and went to SLR to get it sorted out.

Thanks dude for all the help today. So the other option is looking like wool rich tuning.

Price is basically the same do you know if they are offering a can tune at all or would I need to find a custom tuner which is proving extremely difficult here in Texas..

Woolich has an auto tune feature where you ride and it logs the wideband O2 sensor. It matches this to various points on a chart, a map if you will. You then go back and correct these values to what you want. Tuneboy did the same thing with my 1199. I found I wasn't able to reliably hit all of the points on the street which is why I think its better done on a dyno. I think Woolich is the better, more feature rich option, if you know what you are doing or have access to someone that does. If you are looking for a very good plug and play option, SLR is the ticket.

A custom tune will be better, no doubt. I'd only argue to the degree in which it matters.

I've got the SLR tune on my V4R, and the Woolich on my 2022 Panigale V4.

I'd say the SLR gives more features - Frank mapped a quick action throttle, adjusted EBC fuelling, and tailored the 'canned' tune based on AFR from a dyno run. I have the handheld unit and can read and clear error codes with it.
The Woolich, arguably, gives a better 'tune', as it is custom mapped to your bike on a dyno. Arguably, if you buy the software, you will then be able to add more features as Woolich adds them.

Riding both bikes, both maps are very smooth and effective.

thanks for the feedback Rick. placed order with SLR this morning. decided against Bren tuning b/c of the drama, and comments that their tune was basically the upmap, which i already have and not happy with at all.

Brentune is worth every penny. All you haters calling it a canned tune can think what you want. I just did a stage 2 on a 22’ V4S and it’s worth every penny. Gets rid of the twitchy throttle, gets rid of the quieter DB when in neutral power is consistent throw the whole rpm range. The stage 2 feels like 25% more power as well. Maybe it’s not that much but it feels like that much! Worth every fricking penny!

While I agree with you on all of these statements, as I also have a stage 2 on my 2022 v4. you must be bone stock, as it was amazing right until the moment I changed exhaust and asked for a tune, it has been a complete and total headache. New tune, load, not right, new tune, load, not right. I am awaiting someone with similar mods to come get there bike dyno'd to figure out the errors I am having with mine. The tune has completely made it unrideable for fear of damage to something internally. It bucks, it jerks, it lacks power in low rpm. And the check engine light keeps illuminating after riding. It has 1100 miles on it, and it is sitting waiting for brentune to get it figured out. They have in the past fixed all my issues with other tunes on other bikes. So I have no fear this will be the same. But I am still waiting. Already spent the money, so I could bite the bullet and go SLR. Or use the upmap which tbh, I dont like it. Has anyone done SLR on a 22? Apparently it is quite a bit different tune wise then a 21 and older.

I have SLR on my 19 V4R, but went with Woolich for my 22 base. Wasn't unhappy with SLR, just wanted to try something else. I've got a slip-on system and Sprint air filter upgrades. The engine light is on, but bike runs perfectly and I'm happy with the map.

I will have stock to flashed numbers in the next couple weeks when we go to LA with three V4's for testing. The handheld contains multiple files. It comes with the stage 1 for 91 or 93 pump gas, a MR12 race gas map and the stock file. If in the future you wanted to add an exhaust, you would just need to contact them so they can send you revised files to accommodate those modifications. Then you would flash the new file into the bike and you're done. It's really simple.

They probably won't send me proprietary timing maps that took them months to develop BUT I can post the ignition maps from akra and termi vs stock if you'd like. I can also post the stock vs flashed throttle model to show how it's been completely opened to 100% in every riding mode.

The tuning, they found, is best per bank. They did individual EGT's per cylinder and found that the two in front are pretty exact and the two in the rear are pretty exact.. but between the two is way off. One bank can be 12.5,the other could be 13.2. This is stock btw.

They have their own shop bike for R&D and yes, they do real world logging with bikes they have tested. Not just dyno queens. The handheld itself won't log but they have their own logging software. If you truly wanted to squeeze the extra couple of HP out of the bike, you could either take it to their shop for dyno tuning/testing or if you have someone knowledgeable with Ducati's (not many tuners do well with them), you could send the data to BrenTuning for a revised file.

You're 100% correct, most people with this bike will never see redline or full throttle and boasting peak numbers isn't for everyone. Looking at the graphs posted, the BrenTuning gains are across the entire RPM band, not just peak. Something like the Termi mapping is what you're talking about. You lose power in the low to mid-range but gain peak. Most people using that will literally think the bike got slower from light to light.. because it did. This flash isn't just peak, it's more mid-range, more low-end, more peak with a higher redline to those select track guys that need it. If you don't desire a higher redline, there's a drop down option on the website to leave it stock.

Yes, there are other solutions for reading engine faults and clearing codes but this is just one of the many functions of the handheld, not the only function.

Yes, essentially this is a canned tune. So is the Akra flash (which I loved), so is the Termi flash (which I don't like all), and so is stock (which is pretty far off as well). With over a year of R&D this canned tune is as close as it gets without custom tuning. You're probably leaving 2hp on the table by doing this canned tune.

As you said before, 95% of people are not going to care about this stuff, let alone custom tuning or even think about doing it. That's why they get the akra or termi mapping and stay happy. This is a step above both without having to buy expensive exhaust. Granted, with the termi you can buy outright but I'll post the AFR from that map and you can tell me if they even tried putting a bike on the dyno to correct fueling.

That dyno guy was actually pretty funny. Loved the socks more than the pants lol.

They are working with 650ib and his V4R. To develop the flash properly, it will take time. Tons of data and logging needs to be done. I'm sure they will be working on it soon but there's already a BrenTuning V4 beta tester that said he raced a V4R and beat it on the freeway. This V4R had the race kit and flash.

Nobody give a .... about that bozo. 650 ib real jerk off show off . Bt moto is rip off get akro tune or SLR the best . If u want to simply save route up map 800 for 23 v4 it a lot of improvement for 23 model. For those that complain about t800 is actually working for that ....... bren. Guarantee my bike with spark exust push 203 at rear with up map 800 I got 23 v4 what else do u need .
