Hi All....looking for a detailed write up on how to switch a V4/V4S to GP shift, with photos please. Can the OEM QS be used? Thanks for the help!

No write up required. You simply move the rod location on the gear lever from the hole it is in to the hole on the other side of the lever. Job done

Changed over to GP shift....was way easier to do than I thought and works great.

Remove the bolt holding the shift lever on (yellow circle). Lever and linkage with QS will hang down giving you room to work.
Red circle is the location of where the linkage is for standard shifting
Blue circle is where I moved the linkage to for GP shift
Replace the bolt holding the shift lever on, replace fairings and go for a ride!

I 'accidentally' put mine (gilles tooling rearsets) in gp shift mode (when changing clutch slave). i was confused as hell at first, but i'm a big fan now. i love pressing down when shifting up with the quickshifter

Doesn't shifter rod gets too close to the chain? It seems like it can almost rub against the chain while riding. Any word on that? Thanks
