Updates are:

-Redesigned fuel tank for better support.
-Taller 1st, 2nd and 6th gears.
-Updated water pump and cooling circuit for less parasitic drag.
-New wings.
-Larger exhaust outlets.
-Swingarm pivot moved up 4mm iirc.
-New display configuration.
-Some new power modes and mapping.

Plus some other minor changes.

Sexy AF imo.

I know I'm in the minority here, but still no OEM heated grips, cruise control or fuel gauge.

I like that there are separate indicators for DWC, DTC etc., but that uses a lot of dash space the way its laid out.

Oh wow it's almost as if it's a copy of the SC Project and Austin Racing undertail exhausts but with a 100% markup. I'm sure the factory tune won't be underwhelming either.

I dont know about you all, but I find it really silly how the price of exhausts have gotten out of control. $7k for an exhaust and that doesn’t even include the 12 hours of labor Ducati charges to put one of these on. Are you really telling me it costs $9k to get a pipe for your bike? Buying an expensive performance motorcycle and having to spend an additional $10k to get the fueling and sound right is downright dumb.

Price inflation has gotten out of hand. Just 10 years ago, you could get a flagship Ducati super bike and termi for $20k. Today, that number is $40k.

Thing is, it's not as much inflation as it is them exploiting deep wallet Ducatisti who will shell out the cash for their Starbucks machines. Aftermarket exhaust systems are half the price, if not even less. Pretty sure you can pick up the actual SBK akra exhaust for the price of the new system they're selling.

You are correct. In recent years, Ducati has been very successful in attracting the bike night crowd into the brand. The kind of crowd that isn’t afraid to spend thousands on titanium axle nuts and hardware and never doing a track day in their entire lives.

Don’t mind me. I am just a pissy curmudgeon because Kramer dosn’t have any GP2s to sell me and I was forced to buy a V4 to kill the time. A $30k bike that doesn’t even measure up to track day use without extensive setup and configuration and a quickshifter worth its salt. Ugh.

It's a decent looking bike, but for me, $40k with the exhaust and install is not making me want to add it to the garage.
As a comparison, my '21 RSV4 Factory was $26k. The header is an exact copy of the Akra header, the cat and exhaust valve are part of the can. $800 for a new slip on, $250 for Aprilia race flash. HP & Tq within a couple points of each other and I saved $13k for wheels & ergo parts

Ultimately its just a pipe with a few fittings, to be fair there is dev and setup work but they have to be shitting us with 7k. It is literally printing money. How does a small Aussie company like Van Demon make a buck at 3 k, you cannot tell me that a massive pipe maker like Akra doing big production runs cant knock one up for say 12-1500 cost.

Marketing, the art of ........! All they do is wind the price up until people stop buying and thats how they figure it out, but because they set the bar so high and people pay then all the other manufacturers join the ....... party

Will be putting the deposit down on the V4S Monday morning. NO i'm not paying that exhaust price. Bike looks great to me.

I like the improvements over the 2021. I'm curious about the heat issue. It appears there is more venting on the bodywork. And the exhaust shield looks different. Aftermarket exhaust to me is not big deal. 2 mods I will do right away are Tail Tidy & Mirror Block offs.

That and the fact that if you bin it, its ridiculously expensive to put back together using stock parts.

I think its a sweet looking bike, and being 3rd gen? it will be an awesome ride.
