Not a lot of talk of the $29,995 before destination and other BS charges like set up and F#$K You pay me charges, Before TT&L it's going to be over 30K

I love me a newer model, but I’m getting really tired of the lack of the gimmicky features that the other brands get multimedia gps, control without an additional add-on, heated grips, cruise control etc . granted I’m mostly on the track when I do take a Sunday ride; I’d like gps and all the other goodies the other guys get..

/end rant

The new bmw is sweet. My friend bought one last weekend. All the nice bells and whistles at lower cost, and a more comfy bike.
.... the tire pressure system, the bmw ones are pretty bad from a quality perspective. Would never trust Ducati to get that right.

Updates are:

-Redesigned fuel tank for better support.
-Taller 1st, 2nd and 6th gears.
-Updated water pump and cooling circuit for less parasitic drag.
-New wings.
-Larger exhaust outlets.
-Swingarm pivot moved up 4mm iirc.
-New display configuration.
-Some new power modes and mapping.

Plus some other minor changes.

Sexy AF imo.

Edit:

Updated oil (not water) pump and circuit*

Forks are a new NPX 25/30 (S model), 25mm compression piston, 30mm rebound piston. Total stroke is 125mm (+5mm increase).

Fork spring softened to 9.5nm (-.5 from 2021).

Anti squat is achieved using a 4mm higher swingarm pivot point which is non adjustable.

I guess the whole exhaust/mods debate. Is really all just personal choice. If you can afford it and it makes you happy.......Have at it!

For me. I owned a 916 at a young age. I currently blessed enough to pretty much buy any bike I like. I held off on the 2021 looking for updates on the 22. And got lucky!
IMHO a Ducati is an "Exotic". No offense to any of the other manufacturers. The R1 is the best bang for the buck with mods cheap and abundant. But nothing out there looks like a Ducati.
Ducati is not an exotic. They make two dozen models and churn out bikes in the thousands, have dealerships everywhere. That's the opposite of exotic.

Of all the Italian marques Ducati is the most mass market volume player. It's people thinking they are exotic and wanting the name plate as a check mark is why we are in the situation we are all discussing.

I've got more than one truly exotic car and familiar with exotic automobile economics. I agree with charge whatever you want that people will pay for, till the time it becomes obvious you are being taken because the manufacturer thinks you are stupid.

They finally knocked it off with that asymmetrical headlight BS last year and the new charcoal color scheme isn't as garish as the white blue and red.

TPMS can't be that hard to get right in 2021. What's so terrible about the BMW one?

I actually like the white/blue/red paintjob.

I had a 2015 S1000RR - the last generation of the previous model's run. It was a very easy to ride fast bike. I think the street bikes look hideous with their exposed cat and welds looking bad, however, in race bodywork with all that crap removed, was an acceptable looking bike.

I dont know about you all, but I find it really silly how the price of exhausts have gotten out of control. $7k for an exhaust and that doesn’t even include the 12 hours of labor Ducati charges to put one of these on. Are you really telling me it costs $9k to get a pipe for your bike? Buying an expensive performance motorcycle and having to spend an additional $10k to get the fueling and sound right is downright dumb.

Price inflation has gotten out of hand. Just 10 years ago, you could get a flagship Ducati super bike and termi for $20k. Today, that number is $40k.
Or you can spend 120k on a F-250

We can disagree. But where I live and in my Opinion. There are not many Panigales riding around.

LOL
