Will Ducati continue to support Termignoni?
Yes, at least for the foreseeable future/as far as I know. Of course anything could change, but for now we still work with Termi.
Will Ducati continue to support Termignoni?
Do you know if Ducati Performance will offer Termi or Akra (or both!) slip ons with the associated UPMAP as on the 1199?
didn't the SL arrive with the Homologated exhaust installed, and a separate set of race mufflers only ?
Yep.
...well, i'm notsaying that "all things are equal"...but i'd think, since historically R models always had a race exhaust, that "it might" be the same for the 2015 R.....(power of positive thinking, until it is known for sure)
It's known for sure. Pani R will come as I described, you can bet on it.
so let me get this straight and i think i have it here. if you buy a new R you dont get a full exhaust and have to go buy Ti headers. However you can buy a full evo system from akra which is Ti everything. So you get the R pay 34k and still have to BUY Ti headers. Really
you guys are defending this saying SS is better than Ti am i in bizzaro world here?
lastly with the sl you dont get a full ti system what bs.
SS has better thermal properties than Ti.
Ask all the race teams about the cracked (nice and shiny and sooo light ) Ti headers
also die to the dimension / design of the first header part out of the cylinder head, ss seems to be more suitable, since casting Ti seems to be very special and apparently akra has found a way to do it but others not...
Price is still being determined. The Pani R stock system is full ti, with the exception of steel headers because steel manages the intense heat at the exhaust port better than ti. Same as the Superleggera.
I just read this one. So the "Pani R stock system is full ti."..but it actually is not, we just say it is and forget about the headers.
Interesting take on the word "full"
Sounds like something Jerry Seinfeld would say.
I wish I had as much time on my hands as you! Still better to be busy than bitter.
Difference between stainless n titanium headers in terms of weight is hardly anything. The weight difference is in the cans. It's not even worth mentioning whether it's a bargain or a ripoff of weight savings is your angle for a debate.
Now that's a comparison between the stock system off the base/S model but is that the same as the headers used on the SL or the new R?
I mean not a huge difference but still good info.
