Thanks for sharing your experience, i don't think he's trying to up-sell me as he doesn't recommends me one or the other, actually it's more like myself changing my mind everytime lol. Taking your advice in consideration, thanks a lot !

Over here the price difference is minimal. I chose base for looks alone. And I believe that as a road bike the base is better. I would like to replace the steering damper, rear shock and wheels one day but I would not choose the s spec.

Plus, think of all the time you can save. Every time you type on forums or talk about it you have to keep on adding panigale "s" all the time. Trust me, I know. I had a street triple "r".

If I have to do it again I would probably take a Ducati Panigale 1299 s. So that I don't feel slightly Inferior when I go to the dealer.... Or visit the forum....

That's all about this : ego.

The main reason that makes me strongly hesitate between Base and S is what i would save buying the base Panigale would be used to buy a '17 Yamaha R1 or S1000RR (next to the Panigale).
So basically if i buy the base, i would get my second bike, if i go for the S i would just keep the S and no other bike.

Hi everyone, i finally went for a brand new 1299 S also, thanks for your advice, i'll let you know how i feel on it once i have it :) !

My 1299S is an overkill for street use (let's face it 95% of these bikes are being used on the streets). My wife's 1299 base is way better on the streets much softer and more forgiving and also much easier to ride at 60 km/h traffic speed.

I just spoke to all the guys that own the Panigale 1299 and 1299S, they all said their engine would shut down while trying to take off at traffic lights just like the guy in this video lol.

At 00:15 you will see he also suffered the same engine shut off just like 90% of all the Panigale out there :)

That guy stalled on take off (like a squid). The issue most are having is when pulling in the clutch on decel.

Let's stop blaming the bike on rider error.

How could the base be so different from the S in street use, knowing that the only differences that could make a change in this situation are the suspensions ?

Pay no attention to him Phil, it is just about the settings and yours are adjustable so you can set it up how you like.

Definitely what i thought... I still wonder how some of the Panigale "owners" can be so ignorant... Sorry for the roughness.

If you read this forum for long enough... Ignorant is such a soft word.
Especially the poster above, I don't even think the troll can ride.
