Yeah progressive is out of their minds! I've been a customer of theirs for 15 years and no tickets no wrecks and they still wanted 300 a month. I told them to get backdoored!

Update: Just shopped around a little for other policies and was able to get $724 with Geico. Much better than Dairyland at $1538 and State Farm at $1211. All were very similar coverage.

The only problem with State Farm is there is no medical, so if you get injured and it was your fault then you have to pay doctor bills. If you are covered by some other insurance for medical then you would be good to go.

My State Farm full coverage with high limits and a $250 deductible is only $800/yr here in San Diego. Although I have all my insurances with them including 2 autos, house, and $1M umbrella. So maybe a mutli-policy discount is in there?!

And they covered my wreck at a track day at Thunder Hill. I love them fwiw.

$205 for 6 months, collision with $1000 deductible from State Farm - not bad at all

$740 with $1k deductible through Foremost for my new R with $8k of after market parts. I have 3 bikes with them so I get a multi-vehicle discount and affinity discount since they're partnered with Ducati.

I'm amazed at the variations in insurance. Right now my best quote is:

Progressive (via Agent) - 250/500/100, 1000 ACV - $733/yr (bike only).

I'll put together a table over the next few days and post it. Progressive, when I called direct, was ~ $1.2k and I am 51, have a good record, and great credit.

P.S. why are there no bikes in the parking lot at Ducati North America Inc. (10443 Bandley Drive, Cupertino, CA)? When I visited BMW in Greenville, SC there were hundreds of BMWs in the lot.

Really pissed

Found out today that Liberty Mutual declined a claim to repair my bike damaged on a track day.

Just a heads up to evryone out there:
Check your policy!!!

And if your with Liberty Mutual, Safeco, or one of their susidiaries in California, I strongly urge you to consider changing to a competitor if you plan on doing track days, riding Schools, or any non-street riding..

$650/year through Echelon (Canadian only, I assume) vs the $2500 quote I got from the fuktards that insure my house, quads, and vehicles.

My other insurance provider says that when its classified as "sport bike", the premiums are absolutely ridiculous.

Geico was $1309 dollars a year, Switched to State Farm and it went down to $802.

I switched my car policies too and saved over $1200!

I don't think any of the typical carriers cover "closed course" riding

I've been told by Allstate and GEICO agents that they will cover claims related to closed course riding school incidents. I've personally seen State Farm pay out for one such event.

I have a feeling that it really comes down to who you happen to talk to on the phone, how you explain it to them, and how hard that person feels like working at that particular moment. Prior to watching someone receive a check from State Farm I'd heard from other track guys that they didn't pay out.

1200. for the year,,,, both bikes. 2014 1199 base and 2015 1299S. 8 points,,,Geico

That's what makes no sense about geico. I have no points, 30, live in a small town and had my car with them as well.
