1299 Insurance

Geico charges me $1200 a year, but that's full coverage on four bikes. They also cover my cars. Last year they paid for a $10K repair when I drove over a rough road in my lowered Audi RS6; my policy rate then LOWERED $100 a year. Confused, but hey, they've been treating me well and keep charging me less!

$380/year for $100K/$300K 500 deductible with AAA. Went up $25 because i moved to a safer city and more expensive housing community and up another $3 because i changed from 1199 to 1299S go figure.

Shopping for insurance is complex; all companies put different valuations on your profile. State, record, credit, age, marital status, vehicle type matters but to varying degrees by insurance companies that have specific demographics they look for and price accordingly. State Farm doesn't have multi-discount with bikes but I believe they want your home/car insurance with them for the bikes. Regardless, they are very hard to beat if you fit their demographics which isn't all that hard. Mulit-discount or not, their bike quotes are pretty dam good. I wasn't very successful with a track claim but I didn't pursue it; I canceled because my agent and a track club manager discouraged it. I was surprised to see someone here that was successful. Perhaps I would have been had I pursued it but I didn't want to see my rates get jacked up and make it difficult for future sport bike purchases to get insured.

Track accidents paid out are fraud 98% of the time, I'd put good money on that...regular insurance companies aren't in the business of insuring track toys

Not surprising (your unsucessful claim). I've had issue with State Farm going back 20+ years. They're the one insurance company I refuse to consider for coverage.

Not bad.. I'm paying $763 a YEAR and I have one speeding ticket; I insure my house, all my vehicles, umbrella policy, you name it with State Farm and so I get pretty good rates. Weirdly enough, my 1299 is less than my BMW S1000RR was!!

How did you get that deal! I just got new quote from State Farm and they just raise my from 83 to 93 per months. i'm over 50ish and clear record for whose know when and still couldn't get below 1K a yr.
I just called them back to cancel it. this is absurd

I am pretty sure it's because we insure EVERYTHING with them.. I get multiple discounts for various things.

I just checked and I am now paying $788 per year. I am getting $673 in discounts on that, so if I had no discounts, I would be paying over $1,400 a year. YIKES!!

My 1299 is fully comp insured it's costing me R320.00 month so about 18 Dollars it has a R10 000.00 excess if I claim, but for me its worth it as I do not ride it that often.

I was wondering what the OP pays on the 12 C Mclaren? I pay around 1 percent per annum on all my cars with again a R10 000.00 excess, super cars included.
For those of you unfamiliar with the banana republic we call South Africa you can devide our currency by 14 to give you a Dollar figure.

My advise is put your insurance company under pressure I contacted local bike bespoke insurance companies and for the Pani they were taking numbers like R900.00 month but on renewing my house holders policy I managed to bundle the entire lot making it attractive to the insurer as well as myself

With State Farm, I pay 345 a year on my 13 for everything minus 1K deductible. State of Washington, 0 pts for 3 years, low mileage, and I'm 60.

My problem is im so young trying to insure a superbike.

Im only 23 years old, so when I first started looking there are only a few places that offer motorcycle insurance in the state i live in.

Since i bought a $25k+ bike I was determined to have full coverage. Even with $1k deductible progressive wanted to charge me... $2500 a month for insurance. Needless to say I told them they can kiss my.. yeah.

Ended up going with GEICO and am only paying $480 a month for the exact same coverage that I was looking at getting with Progressive.

This is on a 2015 1299 Panigale S.

Since you like burning money, let me hold some.

On a more serious note, at those rates, you should have gotten yourself another bike n held off on a Ducati Superbike for a few years. Paying $6k a year in insurance is plain stupid, even if you can afford it. I'd rather have a brand new 600 every 2 yrs for the amount you're giving the insurance company with absolutely nothing to show for it at the end.

I am roughly at $1100 a year through Geico with no accidents, no claims, no tickets, and a 10+ year endorsement. I probably can do better through State Farm but they do not have online quotes. I am a USAA member and through their service it would be over $500 a month. Again, clean record, no claims, excellent credit, and I live in a very nice, low crime neighborhood. I am not sure how some of you have such low rates.

I also have USAA for my car and have a low insurance payment for them, but where i live they use progressive for their bike insurance and they are the ones that quoted me $2500 a month. It was insane.

Do you have medical coverage?

Just got my quote back from StateFarm for my 2015 1299S : Full coverage @100/300/100 with $500 deductible for $498.38/year.
For an additional $25.98/year I can get a $10,000 medical coverage for myself (the rider) and any passenger riding with me.

Clean record - 17+ year riding experience and I do have multiple discounts since I have everything with them for 13+ years.
