So are you saying the bikes from the early 1900s will give you the best riding experience?

Come on, you're attacking something you have yet to master and understand - these aids may or may not give you a better riding experience. At least try it, track it and see if you like the new stuff which are supposedly more cushion and support so you can push the bike harder.
Well said...I retract my comments...

OMG 1299s sounds insane. Deposit time for me. Ohlins active suspension and bunch of other goodies. Omg.

Awesome bike. I was not clear on which model will have the Akra? The base photo does not show it, will it be the S or just a DP option?

Sounded like an option backed by Ducati...

Many changes to the body work... electronics, etc. Now to see what makes it to the base, what comes on the S...

He mentioned availability in the dealers around Feb/Mar!

some more screenshots

looks like the heat shield is now integrated?

Why would they increase the price? Price should stay the same to remain competitive...

Do you also have the break down of specs? Does the base have LED headlights?

Once the full details finally sink in on the Ohlins EC suspension and how it's integrated into the S model, I think that's going to be the biggest story of the year. This is the Ohlins EC stuff that was developed in MotoGP and then outlawed. It uses a lean-angle sensor along with the data from the ECU to determine the best suspension setup for each condition. They call it "Event-Based" suspension setup. This is NOT like the semi-active suspension on the Multistrada or the S1000RR HP4 that uses sensors to pick up movement of the suspension and then react to the road surface, this is a PROGRAMMED suspension response based upon your lean angle and acceleration/braking forces. Meaning it's repeatable and you can count on it doing the same thing every time, every lap! This is a HUGE step up for track use vs. anything else on the market today. It won't be on the R because it's not legal for SBK racing.\

P.S. - It also controls the steering damper response the same way.

Jarel. You just made me a happy man. Any date to take deposits yet?
