1299s snatchy throttle?!

I don't think so it runs strong after it hits about 7000rpm

On another subject. Hey Whoopass. Who is that beautiful lady on your avatar?

Speedy, can you post your dyno power and AFR charts? It might help identify the issue.

I had the opportunity to ride a 1299s fitted with Akra slip ons today on a closed off road. It was super tight and I was in 1st and 2nd the entire time and didnt notice anything snatchy about the throttle at all. Felt buttery smooth to me with something of a more pronounced wave of power above 7k or so.

I purchased a new 1299. There is a flat spot right around 5500 under acceleration. Seems to be most noticeable in 1st gear in sport mode. Also, once in a while the bike doesn't seem to want to take fuel from idle. Has anyone experienced this and are there any solutions? I will be going in for 1st service soon.

BTW I had an 1199 for 3 years before this so I am familiar with the way they should run. When I bought it the dealership told me they had to put some test miles on it because there was a flat spot but they thought it was sorted out....

Mods are gonna have to consolidate or close these topics.

Hi all!

New member here!
Had my 1299s for just over a week (came from an 1198), 1st service done yesterday. Took it to my local track (Cadwell Park in the UK) last night for its first track session. It performed fantastic! Fixed suspension, ebc2 and everything else on 1.
Great constant laps and gentle traction intervention on full power corner exits.
But I seem to suffering with is a very pronounced hesitation around 5-6k rpm!
It also feels quite snatchy like a slight disconnect or delay in response to my throttle input!?
Is this a sticky exhaust valve?

Welcome new member. I am having the same problem with my 1299 at the same RPM. I had an 1199 before this and didn't have the problem. I'm going to talk to the dealership about it soon. If anyone on here has found a solution let us know.

Well I see they closed out the other thread about the throttle.. This is just another iteration of the first one with yet another problem.

BTW... Prince Albert Your last remark on the other thread that you closed out was "didn't the Rapidbike fix your problem"? It DID fix the surging and running bad on partial throttle.. It did NOT fix the stalling and cutting off. That remains to this day. It is something that evidently is either some type of faulty sensor or an ECU /electrical issue.

Evidently many people are having that issue.. Some just don't complain like I and other do..Evidently it doesn't bother them that they pay $25K for a bike and it has a dangerous habit if stalling wen they ride it.. To each his own...

Speedy

Speedy, you got nothing else to lose with pulling the Evan canister. Listen to others, it may or may not fix the problem but that is another process you can eliminate once you have it done.

I know you're gonna tell me that you shouldn't have to do that but I can't believe you've waited that long. What if there is a return line that is plugged or something.

Thanks I'm going to pull it soon. Like you said I have nothing to lose..Others have pulled theirs and stated it made no difference. I just got a t adapter to properly reroute the vent line..

...it comes off before coming home from the dealer - just do it
