15R homologated Akra

Help Support Ducati Forum:

...i had them installed before taking the bike home...they really should come out of the box with them...so i made it out of the box for me ;)

Good choice there. I hesitated because of the noise limits on a lot of the UK tracks but might as well have had them as the stock ones are not quiet and you can at least put baffles in the race cans.

Well ...., I'm now going to order an Xmas present to me from me!

Last time I listen to you lot :D

Hahaha, I didn't even make it 200 miles on my bike before I had to exhaust on it. I told myself I'd wait for the first service.... this forum is full of good ideas and a lot of ways to spend a lot of money, it's kind of like a support group, we all support each other spending money on bike parts hahaha

Yes, considering that indeed. However, very little info available online concerning these particular exhausts. Also aware that Termi has radically changed its mufflers for the newer versions, so not quite sure which direction to go here.

Does not matter which you pick. Besides sound, they will be that close in performance you would not even be able to tell. Buy the one you think looks the best. The Akra may be lighter as its Ti. I do not know what the Termi is made of.

Termignoni vs Arkc for 15R

Hey guys I have a 15R & wanted to know if one would be best or waste. I have the opportunity to get 1st gen termignoni full exhaust left over from ducati dealer new and they will map it or they can order Arkc slip-on exhaust. Both are the same price out the door installed $3600. I like the termignoni how open the cans are but didn't want to compromise performance over looks. Any info would be great thanks

3600?

What a ripoff. Old termi systems are going for muchhhh less than that. For that price, you're better off getting the full akrapovic evo system. If you have some patience, you can save yourself a few hundred and install the system yourself. Getting the Ducati Akrapovic which comes with the upmap simply isn't worth the price.

I haven't done the aftermarket homework....but the Ducati Performance Akra bolts on easy as pie....they upmap it, push or lock the butterfly valve open and off you go....no dyno, no glitches, hiccups or gremlins to think about

Can you do something cheaper (?) probably, I guess so....but I haven't done the homework on it.....Ducati already did the work for me

The Akra EVO with RB Module is just as easy with no dyno necessary. Fueling will be better than the up-map and you're still saving around $1000.

So you guys would go with the Akra over the termignoni full? They wanted $2600. For the termignoni but add taxes and installation also he said to map it would be $3600 but if I can do it with map and it good I would buy it for $2600 and take the time to install?

.....@ $3600 thats the same as DP Akra....so why bother.....that isn't even a grand cheaper (?)

...and while seemingly an easy install, those RB modules require you to spend time calibrating
