Thanks! I would probably leave the oem ss/to headers and get the slips ons.

Here's the problem with doing this...

The y-pipe is different on the '15R and 1299's vs the 1199's. So you have to buy the DP slip-on to the tune of $3600, the EVO slip-on takes a different flange (meant for 1199's). You might as well buy the full EVO system for the same amount and then you won't have the SS y-pipe or butterly valve to deal with.

When you say the full Evo system do you mean buy from Akro? and it's the same price as just the DP slip ons? I can't stomach spending £2600 on the slipons so perhaps this is an interesting option for me??

Yes, you just need to shop around. They can be had from Revzilla all day for $4000, but certain vendors sell them cheaper. I've seen them as low as $3200, but $3600 is the norm. I would start by contacting zohsix here on the forum. Since we're on the subject...

Ducati dealers can no longer stock the EVO system. This is due to Cycle Gear buying Revzilla and creating somewhat of a monopoly on the system. They placed a very large order with Akrapovic and have almost become the sole source for them in the U.S.. There are a few left at a few vendors however. I have no idea what the situation is on your side of the pond though.

Great info I'm also going evo.. I guess for looks I wish the cans was open like termignoni

One word: wifey!:D

Just got to find the right one... The lady in the house insisted both mine and hers stay in the living room for the winter :D
Haven't quite converted her to the Duc yet though:rolleyes:
Both are full Akrapovic equipped though :)

I went with the DP akra slip-on/upmap through Ducati and it in fact replaced the y/piece and deleted flapper valve as well. Mid range is far better now! I'm now installing rapid bike since adding the sprint p16 race filter made it run terrible even though it had the DP upmap.
