So the 15R I recently acquired is going to be my dedicated trackbike.
Odometer is at 1207 miles and I haven't ridden her. I don't think I'll even bother plating her.

Any mods I do will be strictly to make her what I think is a better performing bike for me. More power is not something I'm worried about right now. One thing I've found I like is the DP race seat. It sets my short 5'7" self higher but gives a better fit to the tank and bars. So that went on today.

The carbon windscreen will be replaced with the clear one, and the NRC front and rear signals replaced by the DP block offs.
When I pull the fairings to replace the screen, the evap canister and the flapper motor will be removed and the flapper safety wired.

This will be the initial mods and I'll be ordering the block off plug kits soon.

So here are the pics to start the project.

If you are going to add an oil catch belly pan, let us know if you end up finding
one which will fit under the standard bodywork without deleting fan units etc.

I've gone dp bodywork for mine but have avoided the belly pan issue so far. I need to
sort it this season as I intend to do the occasional race. Not wanting to remove fans etc if
at all possible.

I'll let you know if I do. On my friends 1299 he used the Armourbodies glass. I believe he had removed the fan before the glass ever arrived so no idea if it would work.

Ride the wheels off it!

I'll be at The Ridge with Track Time and OPRT if you make any of their days-

MMC look forward to seeing that bike of yours. So far I'm scheduled for OPRT on July 1 at the Ridge. Also trying for OPRT at Pacific on June 3. I think there's a Track Time at the Ridge around September 3-4? I'll try to make that one also.

For sure. She doesn't take much to have a blast. Put some fairings on, some protection and good to go.:D

And yes Take your R to the Track!

I am not worried about me! I concerned about the last of the late brakers at the track. You know the type who enjoy standing you up at the apex at a track day.

How often does that happen? I wouldn't let them keep me from enjoying my R to fullest - just learn to work around them.

avidmoto is a very good and fast rider. late days at the track he goes to (i use to go) there is a lot of guys racing to the corner especially turn 1 and standing people up. has nothing to do with avids skills just some things you cant control.

Every track day! NYC, NJ track day riders that ride with a particular track day org. are super aggressive. It's a video game out there on certain days.

I'll get it her out there. Don't worry. I am intrigued to see how she goes at my favorite track! I will wait for a track day during the week.
