I went online last night to see if I could find a diesel Passat cheap just to have as a beater. I quickly found out they put a stop sell order order them.

I guess the new diesel Panigale project is on the back burner now too.

I called VW inquiring about a Toureg TDI, not currently for sale! Haha. I'm definitely unloading the 1299 soon.

This will undoubtedly trickle down to ducati in one way or another...it's unfortunate. Billions in punitive damages and fines will be paid for by us. R&D, warranty coverage, quality, etc will all suffer. VW and all it's subsidiaries will likely stay open though...

What you say makes sense and I can see that happening. It will do a greater (long run) damages if, for example, Executives who are making decisions and Ducati "allow" that to happen.

as of yesterday i am long on VLKAY so im hoping they will eventually claw their way back.

Terrible that consumers will bear the financial burden due to VW's decisions...but unfortunately it's the name of the game.
