I come on this site atleast everyday and post very little. It's a great site for info and help. 99% of the time there is a fight on here Frosty is involved, why is that? Maybe it's because he likes using the F-word, the middle finger and just general negativity? He is like a little kid....is there a way to vote him off this board or a way to block his posts so you don't have to see them? Life is too short and being a dick is not a badge of honor.

Yes to part of it. Click on Quick Links and Edit Options. You can add anyone to your ignore list there on the left hand pane and you won't see his/her posts anymore.

No you didn't...because you just made a bad assumption. Nothing I said in this thread was untruthful. Your version of "the truth hurts" is purely based on an assumption.

There seems to be a hell of a lot of the pot calling the kettle black in this thread...you guys are whining about my comment to Socal yet you're more than happy to do the same thing yourselves, actually a step down, irrelevant posts to the thread.
 
Why do people have to lower themselves to personal insults?

People have a right to an opinion and to comment, hell it's a forum. But to be so childish as to talk about ones partner or family, even calling someone a dick is just so wrong even if it may be true.

Play the ball not the player, if you don't like Frostys comment say so and argue that not act out like the real internet trolls and be vicious with the intent to hurt.

Play nice kids!

ps Best of luck with the sale because from Australia that price sounds awesome as an R is $45000 plus locally. Damn the import duty or I would buy your bike.

come on over to Ducati.MS...list your moto for sale. i promise that you won't see this kind of thing happen there, especially in a classified ad. ;)

actually, i'd love to see everyone migrate over, it would be a real test for some, but they'd always have ducati1199 to come back to i suppose. :rolleyes:

They do, but certain areas of a forum such as the "Classifieds" should be held to a higher standard. Let the individuals sell their goods without hassle, ridicule, insults, questioning, and the like. Would any of you appreciate your "wanted or for sale" ads littered in the way this one is? I'm not sure what other forums some of you frequent, but i can promise you that this kind of behavior doesn't exist, especially in the classifieds, and if it does, it's quickly dealt with. So why does it happen here?

Common decency.

Some people are here just to pawn their wares...

Honestly it's like censorship. All censorship does is make people believe that the world is all roses and nothing bad ever happens. That isn't reality.

Geesh.. and people said the AR thread went off topic?? Frosty made a comment.. as is his right so to do.. If you dont like it and see it as irrelevant then why on earth comment on it??? I have had my run in with FF... but in this instance his comment was relevant and kinda funny.....

I do not agree. This is a free market and if someone wants to post a price they want to try and sell at, it is their call. It does not need or warrant a public response from anyone on here to decry that price. If someone has a concern and thinks they can help the OP sell their item, drop them a PM and raise those concerns.

A Classified section in a free market, imho, should contain nothing else other than the OP's message(s) and offers or questions relating to the item. Perhaps too some post sale feedback should the seller deserve some (good or bad).

I disagree...this isn't a newspaper, nobody is paying to post their wares here. I've seen this go both ways on local forums, and the open response option is far better because people lie in their ads all the time. Never been down, never seen rain, no liens, no this no that. Then their ........ gets called out accordingly to warn a potential buyer.
 
Either way..it is what it is...a public forum.... I would say if you post up goods for sale on here then you have to deal with and accept the rights of others to comment...

$35000 for a used bike seems high...but perhaps there's a market at that price?? Did the bike sell?? ..

I took the bike off the market the next day and am keeping it. Typically, I would not sell a bike for full price that was used.

However, I waited for four months for the R and thought there may be someone in the same spot.

While I was waiting, if someone was offering to sell me theirs that was a few days old, I would have bought it from them for the price they paid (minus tax)........especially if they were going to save me on the full system install.
