Don't stop reading!! My 1199R is in superb condition and rides great.
It has just under 1300 miles and it does carry a CA Salvage title which I obtained.
I bought the bike a year ago and completed the installation of new parts to make it good again (radiator and carrier was the biggest item). I have pictures of the bike before which I'll be happy to send to anyone interested.
It's fully registered having had the full DMV/CHP inspections done, its insured just as it would normally be with clear title.

I'm asking $16950 obo to cover my costs and labor.
Can't say enough about the fun I've had putting 800+ miles on this bike around the Bay Area. Ready for a more commutable bike now and trying to resist getting race boywork and tracking the Ducati!

Please let me know if you have questions and I'll do my best to respond quickly.

Chris

Headlight fairing nothing different other than the striping. The previous owner put base wheels on due to selling the others I'm thinking. Trying to recoup some insurance loss.

So this is an 1199R missing the Termi exhaust, missing the forged wheels, and with a salvage title, correct? What else we missing here? Assuming we're missing the seat, pegs, extra windscreen, dda, mirror plugs?

That was a very nicely done Classified Post Brit !
Liked how you articulated everything so well, on many different matters for that type of bike.

The one thing I'm personally just curious about is your desire to sell (Not that i have ZERO business asking your own personal matters - and please accept my apology in advance if offended my man;) **Another reason being - I'm about to turn 50 and have an absolutely SMOKIN 2012 Tricolore which I'm about to do the same with brother.

I would assume things have something to do with the Salvaged Title which I guess I would also. Does this hinder any registration type transactions? Always been curious on that! Thanks to your thread here, I have gained some serious insight on where I am bound to stand when it comes time. :( --------- :(

Yes, as mentioned clearly it has a salvage title (no mean feat to obtain in CA I'll add). None of the extras that would have been supplied as I bought the bike as-is so I'm sure the previous owner disposed of the extras.

Definitely not oem front fairing.

Definitely not interested

As I did all the required work to get it to pass dealer inspections, DMV, CHP it then became a bike that was registered as per normal. The purchase of a crashed bike was one of many I've made over the years, to the unfamiliar it may seem daunting but I don't like buying new bikes at full cost. Usually I turn them into race bikes for my own use but this one was fun to get on the street again and my first Ducati so an interesting learn from the technical standpoint. I'm looking for the experience of different machines. Now I have that, I'd like to move on with a bike I can commute to work on and this bike is not ideal in my area for that. I'll get another salivagable bike to track and that'll be of smaller displacement (cheaper to operate).

Not trying to thread jack or cause you disrespect...

what the others are trying to say, is the bike should be at least to R spec for this price with the salvage title (all the R parts on it, not base model stuff).

$19,000 will get you a clear title no issue with all the R parts bike.
