Okay so recently been on cycletrader and craigslist and noticed the the 2015 1299s is 5k cheaper consistently across the U.S over 2016/2017 models, I'm wondering why is that?

Seems like 2016/17 holding value better but why, other then the 2017s having updated electronics from Anniversario/SL... what other difference is there between the 2015-2016/17 1299s models, any engine internals change what so ever?

I did my research and found nothing other than electronics, but what would be the point in buying 2017 or 16 over a 15?

I know 15/16 models can get updated price for like $600+ at dealer. what else though?

You say "electronics" as if it were no big deal. The "electronics" on my 2017 are vastly different than my buddies 2015. On the track it really shows. IMO

Because it's not that big of deal IMO because you can pay any Ducati dealer $600 to update your 2015-16 1299s ECU and then you slide control. And everything else... what I'm asking is Rods/Pistons Heads/cams or any other mechanical bit.

I do think the update should be free Tbh.

Minor electronic update in 2017, dealer can flash this for you..Worth the money..Re-sale value, which is why the 15 is 5000 cheaper..Enjoy the 15 and get the update.. NOTHING changed internal..

Electronics (EVO update as in the Anniversario)
Swingarm (they machined shaved the part that used to get scratches from the chain, front upper area)
